Serpent

Jake's jaw clenched and he looked to the floor. I just stood there. I knew that he was proud, he would never in a million years want to beg for something. That's why if he really was sincere and wanted my forgiveness, this is what he would have to do.

His eyes gingerly flicked up to meet mine only for me to once again raise my eyebrow at him and tap my foot impatiently. Something that resembled guilt flashed through his sweet eyes turning them sour before carefully he dropped to his knees in front of me.

"I'm sorry, Yu." The side of his lips curled slightly into a soft smile as he looked warmly up at me.

"I thought I said you had to beg?" I crossed my arms over my chest, ignoring his apology and quirked my lips into a smirk.

Staring down at him he pouted, looking somewhat annoyed, as if he was biting back every insult there was in the book. Though through gritted teeth, he eventually began to beg. It wasn't long until I caved into the massive grin clawing its way onto my face with every, 'I'm so sorry,' and 'please forgive me,' that rolled off his tongue.

"That's more like it," I hummed to myself, watching as he continued to grovel at my feet.

I was just standing there enjoying the show when suddenly the door slammed open. I looked up from Jake and in the doorway, there was a giant hoard of students. They took one look at the position we were in, with Jake still on his knees in front of me and gawped.

My cheeks flushed red at the unwanted attention, I didn't know what to do. So without thinking, I quickly reached behind me, sparing a glance at Jake who wore a look of panic as he stared at his classmates, before wrapping my fist into the fabric of my bag.

I didn't waste another moment before speedily walking towards the exit and most inconveniently, the group of people. I dropped my eyes to the floor as I tried to mutter 'excuse me' into the crowd, in the hopes that they would part.

They didn't move an inch and I ended up just standing there, stopped by the massive wall.

"Excuse me," I said louder, my voice growing with irritation.

"Move you dipshits,"  I heard a growl and felt a soft hand on my shoulder. Looking up, I saw a very serious Jake glaring at his classmates. It was as if they had been in a trance and only now started to move since Jake had been the one to tell them to do so.

Casually I shrugged Jake's hand off my shoulder as the class of students began to filter into the changing room. Behind me, I could hear some of them talking and sniggering at Jake. There wasn't a doubt in my mind that it was about the embarrassing situation the two of us had been caught in.

I attempted to shake away the thoughts as I stormed away to my afternoon lesson. However, I found myself smirking. Jake was the one caught in the more awkward position and the whole of his class saw.

As the day ended I breathed out a sigh of relief. It was only Monday and yet it had induced enough stress in me that would be sufficient for the whole week. I desperately needed something to take my mind off everything and I also needed to check that Victor was ok.

I waved goodbye to Phichit as we exited the classroom and I promptly began to make my way across the school towards the languages department. When I arrived I took a deep breath, I wasn't sure how Victor would react to seeing me after what had happened at lunch, though I brushed it aside as I rapped on the door.

"Come in," his voice echoed from inside and I timidly pushed the door open before stepping inside. I made sure to close it behind me and as usual, I set my bag down on one of the wooden desks at the front.

"Hey," I greeted.

It caught his attention and he looked up from his papers, quickly taking his glasses off and setting them aside.

"I'm glad you came," He mumbled, standing up and walking round to the front of his desk. He leant against the faded wood and sighed as he ran his long fingers up through his fringe, allowing me to see both his beautiful, crystal eyes before one was once again hidden behind his fringe. He looked stressed.

I wandered up to him, cupping his cheek in one of my hands. He leaned into it and sighed out another heavy breath of air.

"I'm sorry for my behaviour earlier, I had a lot on my mind," He muttered, gently kissing my thumb as I brushed it over his lips, "I do need to talk to you though."

I nodded as he let his own hand settle over my one on his cheek. He intertwined our fingers and led me over to his chair where he urged me to sit down. Immediately upon contact, I melted into the soft fabric. It was unfair that teachers got such comfortable chairs when students were forced to sit in cold, hard, plastic ones all day.

"So what is it you wanted to talk about?" I asked as he took a perch on the desk in front of me.

"I umm..." His smile faltered and I took the opportunity to sit forward in the chair.

"This is serious, isn't it?"

He nodded and I instantly felt my heartbeat quicken. His face told me everything. What he was going to say was not going to be good news otherwise he wouldn't have been frowning like that.

His hand stayed interlocked with mine as he gently stroked his thumb over my knuckles.

"I think," he said taking a moment to breathe, "I think that we should stop seeing each other when we're in school. It makes it too hard and people are going to find out."

"People aren't going to find out," I reassured, "we're careful."

"They are Yuri." He snapped, though quickly breathed out an apology after having noticed me flinch at his harsh tone, "I'm sorry, but when we're in school, even if no one else is around, please can we just act professionally. What we've done is illegal, it's against the law. I slept with you when you were seventeen and you were technically my student."

I stood up, wrapping my arms around his neck and burying my face into his shoulder, "But I was seventeen, the age of consent is sixteen."

His arms wrapped around my waist as he too leaned into my shoulder so we were inhaling each other's scents. "I know it is," he mumbled into my skin, the shirt too big and exposing as the neckline hung dangerously close to the edge of my shoulder, "but I'm a teacher, I'm in a position of trust and this kind of thing abuses that."

Tenderly he kissed my collarbone before drawing back from our embrace to look me in the eye. He looked so sad and pitiful, like a dog staring at its owner as they left, unsure as to if they'd ever come back.

"But I can still see you outside?" I urged, just making sure.

"Yeah, we can have dates and you can still come round for sleepovers," The sad look in his eye remained but he slowly allowed a smile to consume his lips at the last word.

I smiled back before wrapping my hand around his sleek, black necktie and pulling him with me as I fell back into his chair. He landed on top of me, straddling my legs and with his hands on my chest to stop him falling all the way.

We both chuckled as he slowly leant in, planting a kiss firmly on my lips, "You'd better enjoy this," he whispered into my lips, "it's the last one you'll be getting here."

I hummed as I felt his tongue sweep against my bottom lip. Victor's hands slowly moved down my chest to my abs until they finally landed on my waist. Teasingly I opened my mouth just a little bit, but Victor was having none of it. His tongue barged into my mouth as if he owned the place and I moaned at the feeling as he deepened the kiss further, pushing our bodies closer together.

I felt his teeth tug on my lip, sending sparks around my body as he finally pulled away. I watched as Victor got off my lap, smirking as he returned to his perch atop his desk. He had left me a breathless mess in the chair.
