I walked back into the lunch hall, a frown on my face as I made my way towards where I could see Phichit waiting at our usual table. Casually I slumped down into my seat next to him before quickly pulling out my lunch. The last thing I had wanted was to draw any attention to myself but it seemed that as soon as I sat down the whole table had their eyes on me.

"So..." Leo leaned over the table, propping his chin up with his elbows on the table, "Phichit has been telling us about your boyfriend...Victor."

I sighed, burying my head in my arms on the table. I heard a lighthearted chuckle erupt and slightly lifted my head to see, though the lower half of my face was still hidden. Through the raven hair that fell into my eyes, I was somewhat relieved to see that Leo had been the only one to really take an interest. His shoulder-length brown hair was tied up and his eyes squinted as he smiled.

However, beside him, Seung-gil was as indifferent as ever. He had glanced at me as I first sat down, I was sure. But now, his dark, cold eyes had once again grown distant as he allowed his mind to wander off into his own little world.

"I'm so glad that you finally found someone after..." Leo paused, his smile faltering slightly as he leant back in his chair, "Well...y'know..."

"Thanks," I mumbled. Though my arms were still in the way of my mouth and muffled my words. I would have been surprised if anyone actually heard.

Out of the corner of my eye, I could have sworn I saw Phichit spare me a look of sympathy and I buried my face back into my arms, gently nudging away my container of food. I wasn't really very hungry and I definitely wasn't in the mood for talking. Noticing this, the whole table had subsequently gone quiet. I felt as if I was a beacon radiating negative energy but I couldn't help it.

"Yuri, what's wrong?" Phichit whispered close to my ear.

I thought about telling Phichit what had happened, honestly, I did. He was my best friend above anything else and I should have been able to tell him anything. All it would have taken was one more look into his concerned eyes and I would have spilt everything. So I avoided them. I didn't look up at anyone as I hurriedly grabbed my lunch back off the table and shoved it firmly into my backpack.

A second later I was out of my seat and beginning to make strides across the canteen. Though, as I felt a hand on my arm tugging me back I quickly spun around. I yanked my arm free of the grip and the whole world slowed. The room seemed silent as I stumbled backwards. Phichit's hand was outstretched as if trying to grab me again and his lips were moving, but everything was jumbled in a mess of white noise. And eventually, it all ended with a loud crash as I fell to the ground.

One of the school meal plates landed on me, almost coating my entire shirt with food and the accompanying cutlery had slammed into my arm, sending prickles of pain through my skin.

I was completely humiliated, around me the whole hall burst out in laughter. I hadn't a clue what to do as I felt my face heat up, my cheeks turning a deathly red and I blinked back the tears that threatened to spill over.

However, that wasn't my biggest problem. Suddenly I heard a small groan come from beneath me. My eyes instantly snapped to the origin of the noise only to see that I had fallen straight on top of someone. As they began to gain awareness of their surroundings I quickly scrambled to get myself off them. To my relief I found Phichit waiting with an outstretched hand.

Phichit hoisted me up without any trouble and I clumsily got to my feet.

"What the fuck?!" The other person still of the ground cussed as his hand quickly rushed to the back of his head (which I guessed had hit the floor). He ruffled his already scruffy brunet locks and squinted as he stared up at me.

I was stood frozen as his honey eyes widened. We both had realised what had happened.

In the ideal world where your actions had no consequences, I knew exactly what I would have done in that situation. I would have walked away, leaving him in the state he was: on the ground and covered in just as much food as I was. But I wasn't in that ideal world and what I did at that moment would matter.

I extended my hand out towards Jake. His eyes were still wide as if he couldn't believe what had just happened, but gingerly he took my hand. I pulled him up, just as Phichit had done to me mere moments ago. He was still shocked and I was still embarrassed.

"Sorry," I grumbled, finally releasing my hand from his and instead tugging on the straps of my bag.

While most people had returned to eating, around the scene where the incident occurred everyone was still dead silent and just watching, waiting for events to unravel. As I looked to my left I could see the table Jake had been heading towards, sat around it were all the prettiest girls and the hottest guys. I gulped, my nerves wrecked as they all glared dangerously at me.

Jake took a step forward and I felt Phichit's supportive hand resting on my shoulder. It was as if everyone surrounding us was expecting us to fight. That was the last thing I wanted, though, as Jake continued to walk towards me he didn't seem to show any hostility. I felt his hand rest on my head as he gently stroked my hair out of my eyes.

"It's ok Yu, don't worry about it." Jake said softly before eventually pulling his hand away, "We should go get cleaned up though, don't you think?"

Phichit growled lowly from behind me, radiating a dangerous aura towards Jake as his hand tightened on my arm. I turned to face him, gifting him an apologetic smile before prying my arm from his grip. He looked disheartened as I turned back to Jake.

"Ok," I mumbled and before I knew it his hand was in mine and dragging me towards the heavy doors that lead out of the canteen.

As we rounded the corner into the corridor my eyes flicked up to see Victor coming towards us. A moment later his eyes too lifted and they widened slightly as he looked me up and down. I didn't want to stay mad at him for what happened earlier, he probably was just busy and had something on his mind.

At the beginning of lunch, I had gone to his room, intending to spend some time with him. I had walked into the room just like I normally would, seeing Victor at his desk and working away with his red pen in hand. I had only said a small 'Hi' but it seemed that as soon as he noticed me he was up out of his seat. His face contorted to one of worry as he rushed to the doorway, looking up and down the corridor. After that, he finally turned his attention to me. He quickly spouted something about needing to be somewhere before attempting to take off. However, I grabbed his arm before he made it out the doorway. Instinctively I leaned up to give him a quick kiss but I noticed him grit his teeth. He shoved me away before I could even get close before leaving and storming down the corridor.

Nevertheless, staring into Victor's eyes now, he looked genuinely concerned. I attempted to pull my hand away but Jake's grip only tightened. Victor's eyes narrowed into a scowl before he dropped them to the floor. We passed by each other without so much as a side glance and Jake continued to lead me down one long hallway after another. Slowly we made our way towards the boy's changing rooms.
