Mystery X Reader

Chapter 10

My feet were killing me... It was early morning and Mystery and I were trying to get to Alfred's house but guess what?... who knew he lived all the way on the other side of town... How on earth does he get on time to work and how does he come to my place so quickly? Then again he does have a car and I don't.  I looked up from the ground and straight ahead where Mystery's back was turned to me as he was leading the way. He still wasn't too happy about this whole idea on getting checked up to see what last night was about but still, even if he doesn't like the idea i still think he should get checked up cause if he doesn't learn how to control whatever happened last night, he might seriously kill someone...

We kept walking for a bit until we passed an alleyway and something jumped out in front of us "You!" It called out and pointed at Mystery. Mystery who looked very confused just stared at it while it glared back. I took a look at what had jumped out at us, It was a demon hedgehog looking thing. 

I had no clue why it jumped out at us but it seems to have recognized Mystery, maybe they have met before? Then again the look of confusion on Mystery's face makes me think otherwise. "Why didn't you come back like you promised! I waited for what felt like an eternity!" It yelled at Mystery.  Mystery just blinked and replied with an "Am I supposed to know you?" The demon hedgehog looked at him in disbelief "Have you really forgotten about me? Its me Rex!" he spoke, trying to see if Mystery remembered him, however Mystery just continued to stare at him "isn't Rex a dog name?" he said. The demon hedgehog, who now I know as Rex looked hurt "You really did forget me...." he mumbled as a few tears came to his eyes. "Hey um... don't cry im sure Mystery didn't forget about you on purpose" I said not really knowing what to say but i didn't want Rex to feel sad. Rex looked at me as if he only now noticed I was here "No its fine.... its my fault for getting my hopes high... I anyway didn't expect him to remember me.. after it has been a few years..." he said. "Well maybe he will remember you if you two just talking it out?" I suggested. Rex's mood slightly got better at that thought but he still didn't seem too happy. "So how about this, I leave him here with you so you two can talk this out calmly, while i go to talk to one of my friends about something important then when im done ill come and pick Mystery up, how about that?" I continued. He seemed to slowly nod after giving some thought about what I had suggested, Mystery though seemed to really not wanna talk to this guy, he gave me this look saying 'please don't leave me here with him' however, I simply ignored it and quickly said bye to the two as I skipped off before one of them could say anything else. I walked a couple of streets down until I realized I had just given my map away... Well now I was lost on where to go but i didn't want to go back and just take Mystery, after all it did seem like those two needed some time to talk and get to know each other again, and hopefully Mystery remembers him cause from what Rex had said, they had met in the past. So with a sigh I just tried my best at looking at all the streets signs and trying to find my way around.

 I had to stop a few people from time to time and ask for directions but finally after sometime,I finally managed to find Alfred's house. I stood at the front lawn as I took a look at the house. It was a modern looking house but it wasn't anything too fancy, it was small and looked like a comfy place to live in. It was quite a beautiful house though I must say, even the small garden around was beautifully made. Without wasting anymore time, I walked up the stone steps and rang the doorbell. The door opened and I was greeted by  Alfred "oh hey (Y/N), Come in, I hope it wasn't too hard to find the place" He said as he stepped aside to let me in. I took a step into the house and was greeted by the scent of freshly made pancakes. "Thank you Alfred and don't worry, wasn't that hard to find" I lied as I remembered all the people I had to stop to ask for directions. "heh well please come take a seat, would you like anything to drink/eat? " He asked as he offered me a seat in the lounge room. "No thank you, i already had breakfast" I replied back politely as I took a seat next to him on the couch. This was the first time I had been in his house so it was a little awkward "Oh hey (Y/N)!" I heard Kao's voice as I looked over at the doorway to what I assume was the kitchen, I saw he had poked his head out and given me a small wave. I smiled and waved back before he went back into the kitchen. Well i suppose thats why the house smelled like pancakes, Kao was probably making breakfast. "So, what did you need to ask me (Y/N)?" Alfred asked pulling me away from my thoughts. "well... its about Mystery....."

(just casually gonna put the well like cliffhanger anyways......so....hey.. -casually waves- I know its been a while since I have updated but yea i had major writers block but yea dont worry, I wasnt about to give up on this story. Also man this book has grown since the last time I have been on my account, Thank you so much to those who have read it all the way and given me so much support with all your comments and everything, I honestly didnt expect this book to get that far but yea a big thank you to all of you! But i do have some news, another reason as to why I havent updated in a while, I have taken up animation as a hobby so i have started a few animations of my own, thats why I haven't been updating  much, I have been trying to get better at animating and all that but yea im really sorry, but dont worry, like i said, I will not abandon this book, I will make sure I finish it, no matter how much writers block I have to face! I should stop talking now I have written too much >~< bai! -magically disappears- )
