We both stood in the dark, silently, as I had not heard one sound from him 20 minutes after I told him the reason for me being here. I sighed hard enough for him to hear me, and break the silence, but nothing.

I heard foot steps coming from outside our room, and Nathan's bed squeaked a little. I could tell that some doctors were chit chatting about another patient and how they were going to be released soon. I wanted to be realesed, but we all know thats a dream that'll never come true.

"Do you still have it?" Nathan's voice whispered into my ear. I jumped a little; i didnt know he was sitting right next to me on my bed. Last time I checked, he was on his own bed crouched under his blankets.

"What?" I managed to choke out. My voice was weak, and I felt dehydrated. Had our nurses not realize we're people, not total monsters?

"Nathan..His body...and stuff. Didnt you mention you like-"

"Stuffed his body in a treasure box, yeah. Why would I let it go?" I cut him off to save him the breath and courage of saying those words. I felt him back away a little.

"Oh, that's nifty, I think." Nathan blurted out those words even though I knew he was speechless. The small hole in the wall turned dark, and the door popped out. Light streamed in and we both squinted our eyes; we hadnt seen light the whole day.

"Hey, theres some lunch in the cafeteria. Nurse Crowell brought in some new friends for you to meet." Dr.Stropher leaned on the door with a grin. He turned his eyes towards me. "Oh, did I mention that you, Jade, are going to be attending a small, gathering. You know, one of those things where you talk about your feelings and relate to other people."

"Oh, theres other people that can relate to someone killing their best friend?" I shot him a glare and folded my arms. "Id really like to see someone relate to that."

Nathan and Dr.Stropher both looked at eachother in a worried way and looked at me. I could tell they didnt know what to say or do, so I just sighed.

"When?" I said, breaking the awkwardness that floated in the room.

"Oh, um...Tonight, 10 at night. Ill have Tony come get you later," Dr.Stropher looked scared, and had sympathy written on his forehead.

I nodded with approval and held out my feet so Tony, my new body guard/watcher, could attach a small tracking device on my ankle; I dont really know what to call it because its self explanitory: tells them where the crazy girl is 24/7.

Nathan was looking at me; I could sense his blue-green eyes staring me down. Apparently, Nathan didnt need a tracking device thing, so he couldnt have done worse than he made it seem.

I held out my hand, signaling Nathan to put his fingers within mine. I knew he was frightened about this whole living with a murderer thing, so it looked like he could use some comfort. His eyes told me he was confused, so i shoved my hand further in his face.

"Take it, and we'll walk to lunch together. Dont be scared." I said, and he locked his hand within mine.

Even if I did have feelings for this kid, it wasnt like Id ever see him again after I got out of this place. Not like I would be getting out any time soon, but he would.
