The grand library doors opened to reveal the most amazing library. I love the library. I hide from all of my princess duties there. James looked shocked at the sight. He said something about it being beautiful and we walked between the shelves, pulling out books as we went.
                             .................
We sat in the library chairs together, reading and talking before I remembered my favorite part of the library. The part no one knew about. I jumped out of my chair and motioned for James to follow. We walked all the way to the back of the vast library to a seemingly normal shelf. It wasn't normal or course. I pulled a certain book halfway out, undoing a latch. Then, I slid the shelf all the way to the right, revealing a blue door. I opened the door and James followed, looking confused and intrigued. We closed the door and walked through the passage way to another door. This door had a code. I entered it in and the door swung open to reveal a steep staircase. James went up first so he wouldn't step on my dress and when we got to the top, I heard his gasp. It was my secret place. Not even my sisters knew about it. It was a tower with high windows, large bookshelves, comfy chairs all over it, and was mostly blue. "It's beautiful. Like something else I know." James said as he scooped me up. He kissed me and held me. I was so happy to be in his arms again. "I have something else to show you." I told him as I walked over to the wall. The wall had a stone bench built into it which I stepped onto. There was also a narrow staircase that lead to a large window. It had the most beautiful view of the castle grounds. Normally I made this climb in a dress that wasn't as poofy, but I could do this. I started climbing up the stairs. "Are you sure that's a good idea?" James asked. "What if you fall?"
"Then you'll catch me." I said in return. He smiled and followed as I motioned him up the stairs. Man, these stairs we're dirty. They had been untouched for over a year as I was gone. We finally got up to the window and stared at the view. It was just like I remembered it. I brushed hair out of my face. I turned to James. He snorted and laughed. "What?" I asked.
"You have dirt all over your face. And your dress." He laughed. Oh. I gathered more dust on my hands and wiped it all over him. That started out dirt fight. We both speared dust across each other and by the end, my dress was more like a brown and I had dust all over my bare skin. Including my face. James was covered in dust too, but somehow, he still looked handsome. He helped me down from the stairs. The whole way down, we couldn't stop laughing. We stumbled out of my secret room and secured it. We walked out of the library and I ran my hands through James's hair, messing it up even more.  This made us erupt in another fit of giggles. It was only then that we looked up. Severa, in all of her horribleness stood glaring at us. I looked down. James wrapped his arm protectively around my back. "Are you done acting like a child?" She asked sarcastically in her sharp voice. "Go wash up and be back in an hour for dinner." She said.
"But-" I tried to explain.
"Now!" She yelled. James and I walked up the stairs together. I went to my room and him to his. Why was she so evil? She didn't love me. She was nothing like a mother, like Mary-Anne was. Whenever Mary-Anne was strict it was for reasonable reasons, not because I was having fun. Ugh.
