Ragnar the younger sat in the ship near his father and Grandfather. Gently patting the head of a large red and white hound. Her copper eyes peering towards the shore. "Those who used to be your masters will suffer Aana-na" Ragnar the Younger whispered to her ruffling her fur with a large grin.

She whimpered "do not talk to the beasts boy...they do not understand." Ragnar the Elder said with a chuckle. His son looked up at him with a smirk "of course....just a beast." He murmured.

"Hya! Aana-na! Heel!" Ragnar the Younger shouted, the hound freed her teeth from the neck of a young man, no older than 18. She stood over him dripping in blood before reaching down and taking her prize by the neck.

"Khanna" Ragnar the Elder called, the hounds ears perked and she trotted over to his side with her prize in her maw. Ragnar the Elder ruffled the fur around Khaana's neck and praised her. "Good girl, you little she devil. Good girl." He said. It seemed the hound rolled her eyes at him before dropping the boys head down at Ragnar's feet.

Ragnar the Younger let out a whistle and Khaana ran to him with haste. She tavkled hom to the ground and the two rolled about playfully. "Thats no hound, that is a bear is whst it is..." said Kjartan the shipmaster as he watched the young man wrestle with the over grown canine.

Ragnar the Elder and Ubba Lothbrokson glanced at each other while Guthrum chuckled quietly. Ubba pulled Ragnar the elder to the side "you should keep her away from the open eyes of others. The gods will not be pleased if they're generous gift is misused." Ubba warned in a whisper.

"Is it not equally. Wrong to keep her caged away like an animal?" Ragnar the Elder asked sharply. "She is an animal Ravnson..." Ubba said before heading back to the ships with Guthrum and the rest of his men.

"Do not fret over Ibba father, he is but jealous, jealous that the gods sent Khaana to you." Ragnar the Younger boasted. "Hush up, you speak of this far to loud boy." Ragnar the Elder scolded with a hint of a smile. "But I am not wrong" Ragnar the Younger sang.

"What are you to do with the boys head? He is Uhtred son of Uhtred, a son of the king." said Ravn, father of Ragnar the Elder. Ragnar the Elder. Raised the head of the saxon boy into the air. "I will return this part of him home as a gift and test their king." Ragnar the Elder stated. "Someone paint the boys horse in its masters blood, I ride for Bebbanburg and I bring with me a gift for Lord Uthred." He added with a stoic smirk.

Ragnar the Elder stroked Khaana's head gently "Ragnar, you keep her out of trouble while I am gone." said Ragnar the elder heading for the dead prince's horse, "and Father you please keep my boy out of trouble." He called back. Ravn's blind eyes sjimmered with amusement as he took a long drink from a pale full of sweet water. "You have no worries, it will be Khaana watching over him instead" Ravn chuckled.

The Danes moved swiftly across the land, before long they had taken controll over a small bit of land. Ragnar the Younger, Kjartan and Guthrum made quick work pf setting up temporary tents, until long houses could be built.
