"Whoa."
I nodded in agreement. The floor was covered in tiny flour covered kitty foot prints. I looked down to see Jimmy staring up at me. He meowed and I picked him up. He was covered in flour. "What have you done!"
"Yeah, you do need my help." Liam said then walked in. I pouted looking down at the kitten in my arms then followed Liam closing the door behind me.
"Mums gonna kill me. Then take little Jimmy back." I said.
I frowned looking down at Jimmy again and rubbed his tiny head. He grabbed my thumb with his paws and started licking it. Liam walked over to me wrapping his arms around me. I froze immediately not knowing what to do. This is the most physical contact we've had in forever.
"Aw Harry, don't be sad. I'm gonna help." Liam said, rubbing his hands up and down my back, "Here I can clean the floors while you wash him."
I nodded not trusting my voice at all. He pulled away still holding on to my arms. "See everything is going to be OK."
"Y- yeah." I squeaked.
"Now c'mon we don't have all day." We walked into the kitchen and I pulled out Jimmy's shampoo and conditioner. I got the mop out for Liam and he started cleaning the floor. I sat Jimmy in the sink because the tub was to big.
I turned on the water and pulled him under it. He started hissing and scratching. "Jimmy you've got to work with me!"
He dug his paw into my hand causing my to let him go then jumped out the sink and ran over to Liam. "Ow!"
"Harry your not doing it right." Liam said. He picked up Jimmy and walked over to me.
"Oh now he doesn't scratch everywhere!" I groaned.
"That's because he loves me!"
"I love you." I whispered.
Liam looked over to me. "What was that?"
"Nothing!" I yelled then ran away. I ran into the bathroom and locked the door behind me. I put my hand under the cold water and let it wash away the blood then turned it off. I put on a band-aid then slide down the wall putting my head on my knees.
"I'm so stupid." I whispered. I couldn't believe I just said that out loud. He almost heard me, I mean how stupid can I be. I should just go back to ignoring him. It was way easier that way. Why is this year so different from the others?
I've had classes with him before. We both ignored each other, so why now?
I stood up and looked in the mirror. "You can do this."
"No I can't." I sighed.
I unlocked the door and walked back into the kitchen to see the floors done and Jimmy washed. Liam was sitting at the stool playing with Jimmy. "Li, uh you didn't have to do all this."
"What? You were like taking a shit or something so I just got it done."
I chuckled and walked over to the counter and grabbed a banana. "Want one?"
Liam laughed. "What?" I asked.
"You still love bananas. I remember you used to come to class everyday with bananas in sixth grade.
Then it was like the second week back and that Thursday you didn't have one and you looked close to tears. So I bought you one and you said we were best friends.. Forever." He said.
My heart clenched that he would remember that day. "I mean we used to be best friends Harry."
"Then you just like cut my out of your life once I started dating Seth. I was broken, I just wanted my best friend back." He sniffed then looked down.
I stared at him frozen in my spot. "I.. I'm sorry." I didn't think me not talking to him would effect him this much.
"It's OK. Your here now and you can't leave this time!" He smiled finally looking up at me again.
"I'm not going to leave you again."
"Promise?" He asked.
"Promise."
"Great! We should hang out this weekend at the mall then I could spend the night." He said happily.
My eyes widened. "I- I uh s- sure." I squeaked. I put my banana down on the table then wiped my sweaty hand on my jeans. I swear I'm going to have a heart attack before I turn twenty.
The front door opened then slammed closed and I rolled my eyes already knowing who it was. "HARRY!!"
"In the kitchen!" I yelled back. There was a bang then footsteps running down the hall.
"Liam!" Gemma screamed. Liam turned around and Gemma ran into his arms. "Hi Gem."
"God I haven't seen you in years." Liam whispered.
"I missed you." Gemma said.
"I've missed you too." They let go of each other and Gemma turned to pick up Jimmy.
"How old are you now?" Liam asked.
"I'm -" "She's twelve and leaving." I cut her off. She looked at me then stuck her tongue out. I did it back.
"Does he know about you lo-" I ran over to her quickly and covered her mouth with my hand then dragged her out.
"What is your problem?" I whisper- yelled.
"Ew don't ever put your nasty banana hands on my face again."
"Liam doesn't know and won't ever!" I said. She nodded.
"Do you understand me Gem, Liam does not need to know that I like him." I said slowly making sure she understood me clearly.
"Yeah, yeah. I get it." She said then walked back into the kitchen.
I sighed. "Harry it's getting late I gotta go." Liam said once I walked back into the kitchen.
"Oh uh OK." I said then grabbed my keys.
"Oh you don't need to, uh Seth is.. outside."
Oh. I put my keys down and turned to face him. He pulled me into a wrapping his arms around my neck. I tensed up but soon enough relaxed into the hug and wrapped my arms around his neck bringing him closer.
Flash. "Aww." Gemma cooed. Liam pulled away laughing while I had permanent blush on my face. I faked a cough then turned to Liam.
"S- see you tomorrow."
He chuckled. "Bye Harry."

As you can see I made Gemma younger than Harry because I wanted to and it's a fictional story.
