~A week later~

"You're there late." Kyrie said through the phone.

I was FaceTiming him during my late shift at work. He was in Indiana for the playoffs.

"Yep. Late shifts have become my life. How's Indiana?" I sighed with a smile.

"It's boring without you here." He pouted.

"Aw." I chuckled. "I'm sure there's fun stuff to do until I get there. There's no chicks you can call up?"

He rolled his eyes and smiled.
"You know there's only you princessa."

I smiled.
"Right answer."

My office door is going to open and Malik walked in with Chinese food in his hands. I smiled and grabbed my food from him, mouthing thanks. After I forgave him, we've actually been getting along, friendly wise which Kyrie hasn't exactly approved of especially after LeBron's banquet. We were working on a case file together.

Malik's walked over and noticed I was on the phone.
"Wassup  #2."

Kyrie raised an eyebrow.
"What's he doing here?"

"We're working on the same file and it's taken us all night to finalize it. I'll call you back. Love you babe."

Kyrie

"Love you-" I sighed as the FaceTime call ended. "-too."

I turned my phone off and sat up as Tristan walked in.
"How's ya girl?"

"I..don't know."

"Wow. That's specific." He said sarcastically.

I sighed.
"She works with her ex right."

Tristan nodded.

"And I guess you can say they became friends again and I just don't feel comfortable with it."

"Why not? You don't think she's cheating do you?"

"No. No. It's not her being friends with him that I have an issue with, it's how he acts around her. How he looks at her, how he smirks at me every time I come around as if he knows something I don't. It's just him that I don't fuck with."

"Alright man look. You can't be stressed before the game. Let's go out tonight."

"So instead of being stressed I'm gonna be hungover?"

Tristan chuckled.
"You don't have to drink nigga. Just let loose, chill, dance, get your mind off some things."

I sighed and agreed.
"Alright. Let's go."

We got ready and headed out to one of the nearby clubs that they had in the city. As soon as we got there, we were escorted to VIP where it was filled with liquor, groupies, and music so loud I couldn't hear myself think. Tristan sat with a couple girls as I sat away from them checking my phone. I clicked on Paris's snap to see that she was still at the office and I noticed Malik was still there too. I was about to text her when I was interrupted by someone walking up to me. I looked up and noticed Kehlani.
"Aw shit." I mumbled.

"This is weird." She smiled, sitting next to me.

"What the entire hell are you doing in Indiana Kehlani?"

"My tour.."

I raised an eyebrow.

"Wow. You really don't know."

"I don't keep up with you."

"Well, where's Paris?"

"Why do you want to know?"

"Why are you in the club by yourself on the phone?"

I sighed and put my phone in my pocket.
"I just wanted to get my mind off a couple of things. I thought going out would do that and it didn't."

"Well..maybe a drink will help." She said, handing me a shot.

"I have a game tomorrow so no alcohol."

"Come on. Tristan already had half a bottle of champagne."

"Me and Tristan are two different people."

"It's just one shot Ky. Calm down."

I sighed.
One drink.
