~Two weeks later~

"Give it to me Kyrie." I smirked, walking towards him.

He walked towards me to, looking down at what I was wearing.
"How bad do you want it?"

"There's only one reason that I'm here."

"You sure you can handle me?"

"Yes. I'm sure." I said, grabbing the basketball from him and dribbling it down the full basketball court that he had in his backyard.

"Be gentle with that ball. It's practically my baby." He smiled, referring to his childhood basketball which molded perfectly into my hands.

"I'll be sure to keep it safe."

We were playing one on one, and while I'd came over, over an hour ago, we were just now starting to play. He'd paid more attention to the sports bra and sweatpants I was wearing than actually playing the game. This was a normal thing for us now. When he wasn't at practice and I didn't have work we were with each other 24/7. We were getting a lot closer and I enjoyed every minute of it.
I dribbled the ball down the court, as Kyrie guarded me. His height proved a big advantage, as there was no way I'd be able to make a jump shot without space. I bumped him off a bit, spun around his back, and made a run for the basket, gracing it with a beautiful layup.

Kyrie chuckled and clapped his hands.
"Damn! Shawty got moves."

"I told you I did." I said, throwing the ball towards him.

He caught it in his hands and backed up to halfcourt as I took my defensive stance. He slowly dribbled the ball up to me, as I got closer, making sure he couldn't get the space he needed. He groaned in irritation as I kept my defense perfectly on him. He spun and tried to make a run for the basket, when I blocked his shot.

"Yes!" I cheered, proud of myself for even jumping high enough to block the ball.

Kyrie rolled his eyes and grabbed his own rebound, running behind his three point line, and immediately shooting the ball.
Swish.
It went in smoothly as I grabbed the rebound.

He smiled and walked up to me.
"Can you hit a three like that?" He asked, in a challenging tone.

I scoffed and dribbled the ball to half court.
"Watch and learn Irving."

He smiled and crossed his arms, waiting to see what I was going to do. I looked up at the hoop which seemed a million miles away, and dribbled the ball. I put it in my hands and shot it, praying that it would go in, and swish. Cash money👌🏽

"Damn! I got me a baller." He smiled, walking up to me with the ball.

"Won defensive player of the season, every year I played in high school and college. Also led my teams in scoring. You can say I was..pretty good." I chuckled.

"Wow." He put the ball down. "You know what we should do.."

"What?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.

"We should watch your college highlights!"

"No." I chuckled.

"Too late Thompson." He said, jogging back into the house.

"Kyrie!" I groaned, following him.

He smiled and went over to his Alexa.
"Alexa go to YouTube and play Paris Thompson UCLA highlights."

"Oh my gosh." I smiled, hiding my face as my many game highlights popped up on the enormous flat screen in his living room.

He scrolled through the many ones and his eyes widened.
"Damn which one do I watch? You scoring 70 points in a game or you getting a quadruple double?"

"Pick your poison." I shrugged.

He smiled and picked me up, placing us both on his comfortable living room couch.
"I think I want to see my babygirl score 70 and hit a game winner."

My cheeks blushed as he used that nickname, draping his arm over my shoulder. He played it and a smile spread over my face again as I saw his eyes widen as I scored every point, including 10 threes. 3 of them from half court. He seemed on the edge of his seat as there was 1.2 seconds left and we were down 2. I dribbled the ball down the court and stopped for a three at half court.

"Damn!!" Kyrie yelled with a smile on his as I drilled it. "For a girl whose 5'4, you can sure ball out."

"Thanks. I tried." I chuckled, reliving the old college memories.

He looked down at me.
"How come you didn't continue?"

"What do you mean?"

"Like professionally. I mean, you would have been a beast. You would've been phenomenal."

I shrugged and smiled.
"Basketball was Klay and Mychels dream. Baseball was Trayce's dream. Nursing was my dream. I always wanted to work in healthcare. I loved medicine. Don't get me wrong, I love the game. Basketball just wasn't my first love. Medicine was."

He nodded.
"Smart. Amazing career. Amazing baller. Beautiful. I think you're the perfect woman Paris."

"Your making me blush Ky." I smiled, looking up at him. "But thank you. Your not to bad yourself babyboy."

He placed a kiss on my lips and this is honestly what I loved about hanging out with Kyrie. When I was with him, I felt loved and appreciated. I genuinely loved spending time with this man. I slightly pulled away and smiled.
"Let's watch your highlights."

"You sure you want to watch those?" He asked as I reached for the remote.

"Why wouldn't I?"

"A main part of those highlight videos will be from game 7." He mumbled, a slight smile on his face.

I sighed and put the remote down.
"You're right.."
