It wasn't dark but it wasn't lit, till I decided to change the mood and flicked ON a swith.
The sweaty stinky clothes were urging me to be quick, and yet, I was stuck there, my eyes transfixed.
For there in the machine, rolling with my morning clothes, was a beautiful little Mermaid, who saw me and instantly froze.
By the looks of it, she was having a party. Playing with the bubbles of soap, her heart seemed really happy.
It felt bad to disturb her, so I turned out to go back. I had just turned OFF the light, when I thought, "What The heck!"
"What was a Mermaid doing there, enjoying as if it was her home? This was my house, my machine, I was supposed to be here alone."
I was about to turn the light back ON, and drive the creature away, when the bulb of my memory lit and all I could mumble was, "No way!!"
It wasn't the fault of that little Mermaid. To be there, she had every right.
After all she was just a fragment of my own imagination, she must have escaped when I slept in the machine last night.I'm sure it'll find its way back into my head if I sleep there again tonight.
