"Can I ask you something?" The question seemed odd right away. She never needed a permission to ask him anything. There relationship had been like an open book, both had the right to turn any page of it and get the answers they seek.

As expected, he shrugged it off. He never believed in the concept of moving all those muscles and utter a simple word like yes. A shrug had become his characteristic.

"You describe love so beautifully in your story," she stated holding his recently published book in hand. "Have you ever fell in love?"

A smile crossed his face.

"Aren't we always in love with someone or the other?"

Yes, indeed. People may term love as a complicated thing, but she always saw it as a simple and beautiful emotion. He strengthened her perception about it with his statement. But, it also opened those unwanted doors. Thoughts raced in her mind and they had to be confirmed before anything else.

"Does that mean you're in love with someone right now as well?"

He shrugged once again.

"Who?" It was a completely unnecessary question, but the curiosity was gettijg better of her.

Quietly, he turned towards her, took her hand in his, and looked straight in her eyes.

"You," he whispered to her heart.

As her face started to become red, she buried in his embrace to hide that blush. He got his arms around her and they just sat there, cherishing the unforgettable moment.

Today, whenever they sit to narrate their life to their grandchildren, they still sit in that same position. She, with her head resting on his chest, and he, with an arm around her and his head leaned on to hers.

For them, time never moved ahead. It was still trapped in that one precious moment.
