"I cannot express how much I appreciate you," Loki sighs, standing next to me.
Closing the refrigerator, I turn to face him.
"And why is that?" I ask, looking him up and down. No glitches, "It's the real you?"
"I still can't believe you can tell the difference," he chuckles, "But yes, it's the real me."
"Nice to meet you in person, Mischief," I smile, holding out my hand to him.
He takes my hand, planting a light kiss to my knuckles, "It's an honour to meet you, Fire Goddess."
I chuckle, pulling my hand away. I leaned in closely next to his ear to whisper, "Let's talk business."
He leans back, looking me in the eyes with an evil smirk on his lips, "What kind of business?"
"I need a break from this place. Not forever. Just a few hours."
"You're easy to please," he grins, "Just tell me where to go and we'll be on our way."
"Tonight," I pause, looking around cautiously, "Take me somewhere you like to go, but we can only be gone a few hours. That's it. They've got cameras all over this floor to keep an eye on me."
He hums, nodding his head with a smile, "Understood. What time shall I meet you?"
"My room. 3 o'clock. Now, go take a shower. You smell like mischief....and not in the good way."
"So rude," he tsk's before vanishing quickly.
"That's me."
3 o'clock get here quickly...
********
"Loki where are you?" I sigh quietly. It was five past three with no signs of the God.
"I'm right here, Goddess," Loki whispers, making me jump.
A ball of fire appears in my hand, making him to raise his hands in defeat.
"Dammit Loki!" I hiss, "You can't do that! I could have turned you into a walking tiki torch!"
"I get it, now please put that out before one of us gets burned," he smiles nervously with his hands still up.
"I'm resistant. Now can we get going?"
"Oh, right. My lady."
He places out his arm for me to take. I oblige, rolling my eyes, and we quickly vanish from my room before appearing on a beach. The sun was starting to rise, wherever we were.
"A beach?" I ask, unlinking our arms, "What planet is this?"
"Yes, a beach," Loki chuckles, "But we're still on Earth. Norway...it's absolutely beautiful."
I looked around, taking in the view. The ocean was still and shimmering from the slow waking sun.
"It really is," I whisper, slowly nodding my head, "How long have you been in Stark Tower?"
"A few months," Loki answers, his gaze still on the ocean in front of us.
"Why do you help them?" I ask, completely disregarding the view and looking up at him.
He stays quiet, still looking at the waters. After a few minutes, he finally speaks.
"There's good in everyone. Even me, the God of Mischief," he sighs, finally looking down at me, "Tell anyone I said that and you'll never be seen again."
I laugh, placing my hands up in surrender, "Your secret is safe with me, Mischief. I agree though. Anyone can be good if they really want to be, but..."
"But?"
"Some don't like being good," I smirk, "Some of us are born to be bad."
Loki hums and nods, looking out at the sea again, "Bad can be used for good and you could never tell the difference."
"What's the fun in that?"
"Keeps you out of chains...and prison."
"Never been."
"Really?" He asks, looking at me again.
"Yeah," I sigh proudly, "Never been caught. No one ever really freaks out over small crimes."
"Perhaps I should be writing this down?"
"Stick with me, Mischief," I smile, patting him on the back, "and you'll be just fine."
Loki sighs, watching as the sun finally reaches its peak.
"The view is lovely," he smiles, closing his eyes for moment and taking in the last bit of warmth from the sun.
"It is," I watch him for a moment before sighing, "but we should go."
"Lucky for me," he begins, grabbing my arm, "The view is coming with me."
With that, we vanish and reappear in my room.
