Fiction-For this I took a picture of something in nature and made up a story (btw it's fiction with no disrespect of believes)

We can't be the only species in this world with the capacity to rationalize, and advance everything we touch or interact with, plus emotions . Don't you ever wonder how the dents and cracks of a tree came to be in such a way that you can almost decrypt a message or even a personality off them? The curves of the lines swarm and swirl inside and over the bark, some parallel to others, in a way that can almost tattoo the story of the tree or even maybe... a living being? Each spot and mark is different from the other but if you ever saw a sapling developing, you'll know those marks weren't there once. That is all thanks to the Connectors. They are another thing we can't see. What connects the "gone" to our world. Because of them, there is another way the diseased are not forgotten. On the trees they carve life after death; the new stories and memories we start after we've left our body. For the Connectors, it's not only their responsibility, it's what keeps them existing; their fundamentals and purpose. Without it, they'd seize to exist and the dead won't be able to narrate to the living, though for them it's more like a first life and the second life, unless you've had more lives before, but it's just the same soul. Someone could be reading your story right now.  The tattoos of a tree are a link to what we can't see and —to some— whom we've lost "touch" of. They have rules like the circle of life. One main rule is that if you try to forge the marks like the Connectors do, you are just hurting the tree so, don't. Another is that they do not remember you after they're gone but you can still keep a tab on them. Pay close attention for when a tree shakes with no wind or cause, someone is calling.
