Chapter 13

"Have I ever told you how amazing you are" Sal said to me with a smile.
"I love you so much" I said, giving him a long hug.
"Really? You...love me?" Sal asked.
I looked up at him.
"Yeah, I really do" I said to him.
"I was, actually wondering when Betsy is better, if you'd like to go out to dinner sometime?" Sal asked me.
"Like a date?" I asked with a smile. He gave a little side smile
"Yeah... like a date" he said.
"I'd love to" I replied, grabbing his hand and walked back into the hospital room after the doctor left.
"Here's your coffee" I said to Betsy placing the cup down beside her. My phone began to ring. I decided to take the call outside.

"Hey" I said into the phone, it was Jen.
"Hey Carly. How's Betsy?" Jen asked.
"She's fine. She can leave tomorrow" I replied.
"Thank god! When can you return to work?" She asked me.
"I've been gone one day" I said to her with a laugh.
"Is just... we have... a situation" she said.
"With the cakes?" I joked.
"With the business" she replied, quite seriously.
"What's up?" I asked, very concerned.
"Look, I've sorted it for now but it will be a re accruing issue" she said.
"Do I need to go down now??" I asked.
"I would" she replied. I hung up, and debated what to do.

I walked back into to hospital with a stressed look.
"Everything okay?" Betsy asked, as Sal held my hand.
"It's the business" I began. "Apparently something is wrong and I have to sort it out" I said, giving the vibe I had to leave.
"Go! I'll be fine" Betsy said.
"But I don't want to leave" I said.
"If there is any news then I'll ring. Sort out your business, please" Betsy said.
"Thanks. I'll be back as soon as I'm done" I said. "Sal, could you give me a lift?" I asked him.
"Sure babe" he replied, getting up. "I hope your okay" he said to Betsy which put a smile on my face.

We got into Sal's car as he gave me a lift to work.
"Are you okay?" Sal asked me.
"Kinda. I'm just concerned about what's happening with the business, how Betsy is.." I said to him, knowing it sounded as if I was whining... which I was. "I'm sorry I don't mean to moan~" I began.
"Hey hey hey, it's okay. I just think your under a lot of stress recently and maybe take some time to chill" he advised me.
"Thanks babe" I replied.
"Did you just call me babe?" Sal asked with a smirk.
"Yeah, boyfriend" I joked. He laughed then dropped me off.
"Ring me when you need picking up. Love you" he said.
"Love you too!" I said then ran into work.

"Hey Carly" a familiar voice say to me. "You missed me?" The familiar face asked. After all these years I thought I erased this person...
But my past soon caught up with me....
And it wasn't good...
