"Sorry, I just missed you."
---The next week at school
"I mean it's insane, totally crazy. I can't believe that happened. I mean my mind is blown. And how he was all whoosh and I was all wakaaa..." Ned made a explosion sound with the mind blown gesture.
"You saved me... so.." he looked down and couldn't really focus since he was worrying about Riley. But then he looked up and saw Liz walking down the hall beside her mother who was carrying a box, then he saw Liz hug her best friend. She looked sad.
"Yeah, uh hey Liz!" He yelled as he ran towards Liz and stopped her before she left.
He could see her tears down her cheeks and she looked at him with annoyance, but didn't walk away.
"Liz, look, I'm so sorry..."
"You say that a lot, what are you sorry for this time?" When he didn't say anything she continued, "the dance? That, um, was a pretty crappy thing to do."
"Yeah but your dad, I can't even imagine what your going through. If there's anything I can do to help.."
"I guess we're moving to Oregon," she shrugged sadly, "mom says it's nice there so that's cool... anyways dad doesn't want us here during the trial." She looked like she was about to sob.
"Liz...I- I'm- I-"
"Bye, Peter. Whatever's going on with you, I hope you figure it out." And with that, she left.
Peter watched her as the door closed and felt worse than before. He felt like he caused everything and he just couldn't say sorry enough.

Back at Avengers facility in Upstate New York, Riley was in the kitchen with a cast on her leg, which had almost healed and a bowl of ice cream. She was ready to head back to her room when she received a text from Liz.
Hey, didn't see you today, hope you feel better. Mind if I call? Wanted to say goodbye to you.
Riley automatically called her and talked with her for a while, then when Liz said they're going out of cell range, they said goodbye.
Riley still felt so horrible about her dad, but in the end it was his choice to be a villain, and that itself has consequences.
It was around 4 o'clock so she went back to her room and logged onto her computer to FaceTime with the Decathlon team, so she wouldn't miss anything important.
"Congratulations Decathlon national champions!" Mr. Richards started off the meeting, quieting down all conversation so they could clap. "I'm gonna have to put this back in the trophy case soon but just for motivation right now, let's practice. I'm a little ahead of the game but we will need a new team captain next year so I am appointing Michelle."
Everyone looked at Michelle in happiness but she just looked surprised. But they all clapped, Riley clapped through the screen. "Uh thank you, my-my friends call me MJ."
"I thought you didn't have any friends?" Ned straight up went for the savage remark.
"I didn't..." MJ said bashfully.
"Girl you had Sabrina and I." Riley said and Sabrina nodded from across the table from MJ.
Riley and probably everyone else heard Peter's phone buzz and he looked at it with confusion, "I-I gotta go-"
"Hey where you going?" MJ asked suspiciously. Peter looked at her in surprise and worry and pointed to the door. "What are you hiding, Peter?" Riley could see him starting to freak out silently, "I'm just kidding I don't care, bye. So we should run some drills."
