They were camp counselours

6:am monday

An hour before the campers awoke
They were in davids cabin their legs tangled jaspers head layed on davids chest, david was awake running his hand through jaspers hair, jasper was asleep

David was left alone with his thoughts
He kept thinking about last week

It was all blur if he was honest
He guesses its from shock

David was dying he had a month left to live

David awoke alone
He felt dizzy it was to bright the rest of the day he felt a little sick and he wouldnt stop coughing he was so tired and cold

But he had to wake up the campers he had a job to do but after much convincing from gwen and jasper
He took the car and drove to
The doctors

He had lung cancer

He had a month left to live

He couldnt tell jasper he couldnt see the look on his face he just couldnt see his soft boyfriend cry he didnt deserve it

So he took the medicine and left,
Jasper asked if he was sick

David lied
Jasper thought he just had an off day

He layed there silently crying
Untill jasper stirred in his sleep
David tryed to hide the tears the
Fact that he was gonna have to to leave his family his lover

It was to late jasper was already looking into his eyes
He couldnt hurt him his blue eyes stare into his trying to find out whats upsetting him

Instead david made him a promise

He promised him that he would never  hurt him or leave him he would fight through this and if he didnt he would continue to love him

He couldnt belive his best friend
His other half was dying

They decided to lay there together
For the day crying and jasper clinging on to him like his lifeline

They would have to tell the campers they would have to crush there hearts

So when david made him that promise he also made him one

That he would be there for him that he would love him forever

When they told the campers
They were heartbroken

Suprisingly max was the first to cry

They all hugged for the rest of the day

It was hard

They loved eachother so much

So it was hard when 3 weeks later
David died in jaspers arms

David lost the fight

It was hard to say goodbye when jasper couldnt stop crying

They buried him next to the tree they first kissed at

Jasper was heartbroken

David was gone

And jasper never did stop crying but he got better thanks to the gwen and his campers

It was hard and sometimes he would have nightmares of when david died in his arms he was sorry that he broke his promise he put up a good fight

And one day jasper would see him again even if he had to wait
He would wait forever

But untill that day comes he'll wait untill he gets to embrace him again
