"You weren't kidding!" I cheered, as we passed the front of the building. The sun reflected off the windows, glaring back at my eyes. Haar slowed the golf cart down, so I could get a good look. There was a pond, with a concrete patio connecting it to the building. "It's really impressive." I praised, turning to look at Mr. Haar. The sun reflected off his sunglasses into my eyes. What is with the sun today? Does it hate me?
"Where's your sunglasses?" He asked. The cart began to speed up, as we headed back to the entrance.
"I don't have a pair yet. I keep forgetting to buy some." I admitted. He gave me a strange look, before keeping his eyes on the 'road'. I heard him mumble something, but wasn't able to make out what he said. "What did you say?" I asked, trying to see through his sunglasses.
"I said, you can borrow mine. I have another pair in my office." He offered. The cart stopped at the front door. I climbed off, and leaned against the roof of it.
"Really? That'd be great." I smiled. He returned the smile this time, handing over his sunglasses. I could finally see his eyes. Turquoise. It suited him.
"Don't forget. Officer Rachel is waiting for you in the commons." He reminded me.
"Right! Thanks for reminding me." I chuckled, pushing off the cart. I flashed him a smile, before heading inside the building.
Mr. Haar seems alright. He looks to be around my age, so we should be able to relate to things. I can't believe he let me borrow his sunglasses. He's much nicer than I first thought.
My mind flashed back to when Haar fell into me. He was so light! Lighter than I expected, anyways. Though, he wasn't kidding about that crowd. Those kids are ruthless!
I sighed, walking up to officer Rachel. I could see her holding a stack of papers.
Please don't give me paperwork!
