----MONDAY-----
knock knock
"Come in." I called, writing on a suspension paper. What is with kids and marijuana now-a-days?
"Mr. Haar?" I glanced up to see Goldak. He was standing in front of the desk like an embarrassed student.
"What is it?" I asked him.
"You left your tie at my place." He grinned, holding out the offending cloth. Memories of the other morning popped in my mind, as I tried not to blush. This is embarrassing. How could I have forgotten my tie?
"J-just set it on my desk." I said, trying to avoid eye contact. I looked down at my desk, doing my best to concentrate on my work. The desk dipped a bit, causing me to look back up. Officer Goldak was sitting on the edge of my desk, just.. staring at me. If I wasn't feeling so embarrassed, I would be creeped out. "What's wrong?"
"There's no reason to feel insecure." He stated. What is he talking about?
"I don't know what you're talking about." I responded, going back to my papers. I put the one I signed to the sides, and started to read over the next. Another marijuana incident. Why am I not surprised?
"I'm serious!" Goldak placed his hand over the paper, preventing me from reading it. I huffed, and looked up at him with a small glare. Can't he see that I'm trying to ignor- work? "You really have nothing to be insecure about! You're pretty handsome, y'know?" I rose a brow at him. Do guys usually call each other handsome, or is he gay? Not that it matters, since I'm married an what not.
Despite of my efforts, a blush still managed to dust my face. I turned my face to the side, so he wouldn't see it. "Th-. Thanks." I said, getting a sudden shy feeling. He grinned down at me, as if he enjoyed making me embarrassed. The jerk.
"You coming to lunch today?" He asked. I glanced at his eyes, only to see that he was giving me puppy eyes. Damn those eyes.
"Yeah, I'm going to lunch." I sighed. There's no going against puppy eyes like those.
"...Are you alright?.. You seem a bit upset today." Goldak stated. He looked slightly worried about it. But there is no way in hell, I am going to tell him that I'm upset because he's hot- I mean handsome? Is that better or no? Either way, not telling.
"Yeah. Just a bit tired." I assured, giving a half smile to support my lie. "I didn't get my coffee in this morning."
"Want the rest of mine?" Goldak offered. Huh?
"Uh...." What am I suppose to say to that!?
"It's better than my cooking, if that's what you're worried about." He chuckled, heading towards the door. "I'll go get it. I left it in the commons." He told me, as he left the room.
What kind of situation is this???
