I let out a sigh of boredom. Mr. Haar had wondered away from me, and was now standing on the other side of the cafeteria. Funny enough, apparently the 'commons' was used as the cafeteria. The impressive glass windows let in plenty of light, causing some of the students to wear sunglasses or sit facing away from the sun. Speaking of sunglasses, Mr. Haar's sunglasses were resting on top of my head. They were a bit small for me, but he's pretty small as well. Not to say he's small! Just smaller than me.

I looked back over to him, to see him talking to some sophomore kids. I sighed, looking out into the cafeteria. I scanned over the area, making sure everyone was behaving well enough. I could feel someone glaring holes into the back of my head. When I turned towards the source, I saw a shocked Mr. Haar. He quickly turned away. I smirked, deciding to continue my stare. He began to grow flustered under my gaze, his face turning redder by the second.

I strolled over to him, leaning onto a nearby column. Folding my arms, I smirked at Haar's flushed face. He copied my stance, but refused to look at me. I'm going to make him talk to me.

"So, Mr. Haar. Any more advice for me?"

"N-no. I told you everything I know about the place. Just try to get along with the students and teachers." He advised. I nodded, as I watched two girls approach us.

The shorter of the two stepped up, and I recognized her from the hallway earlier. She was the one that was lost. "Who are you?" She asked, bluntly. Almost in an unamused tone. The other girl stayed back, keeping an eye on her friend. Probably so she wouldn't do or say anything dumb.

"My name is Officer Goldak." I introduced.

"Your name is Officer?" The short one giggled at her joke. I rolled my eyes. Wait. Isn't she afraid of cops? If she's not, then why didn't she approach us earlier?

"Mr. Haar was about to introduce me, if you want to return to your seat." I informed her. I heard Haar scoff from behind me. The short girl was hesitant to leave. The taller of the two grabbed her arm, tugging her away from us, despite the short one's protests. Weird.

Haar walked over to the podium, which stood to the side of the lunchroom. He spoke in the microphone, "Everyone. We have a new staff member joining us today. Welcome, Officer Ryan Goldak. He will be replacing Officer Rachel, at some point this year." Some people cheered, some booed, and some even whistled. Seriously, what is with these students? Do all teenagers act like this?... How did Haar know my first name? If I had to guess, he probably read it somewhere. What's his first name?

Hasr glanced at me, before heading over to a different man. Isn't that one of the other faculty? What was his name? I didn't pay attention. Is he laughing?! He never laughs around me.. Maybe he knows that guy better. Maybe their dating? Is Haar gay? No, impossible. He's married to a girl. Still...

As lunch past by, I casted Haar a glance every now and then. The bell finally sounded, and the students hurried out of the commons. I followed Haar to the manufacturing hallway, where the student affairs office was located. He sent a glare to a student with a blanket, before walking into the office.

What does he have against blankets?
