I grabbed the cup, surprised that it was still hot. Does Haar like his coffee hot? I took a sip to make sure that this was, in fact, my coffee. With my coffee confirmed, I began to make my way back to Haar's office, only to be stopped by Mr. Anderson.
"Where are you heading, Officer?" He asked, as we passed in the hall. We stopped walking, to turn towards each other.
"To Haar's office." I motioned over to the glass doors to the lobby of student affairs offices. "I'm bringing him his coffee."
"I didn't take Mr. Haar as one to drink coffee." Mr. Anderson claimed, glancing towards the door. He rubbed his hands together, before clapping. It was a habit, I began to notice, that most of the supervisors did. "Well, have a nice day. Don't let me get in your way."
He took off down the hallway, leaving me in a confused state. Does Mr. Haar not like coffee? Well.. I'll give it to him, and if he doesn't want it then he can just throw it away. I'm not going to drink it, anyways.
I tried to walk past the secretaries, being careful not to make eye-contact. They might try to talk to me, and I have to get this coffee to Haar before it gets cold.
"Sir, you can't go back there right now. Mr. Haar is with a student. If you would take a seat, he should be done shortly." The blonde secretary informed me, killing my immediate mission.
"Uh...." I glanced at the clock. I have to do rounds soon. Will I have enough time to wait? "Okay." I agreed, taking a seat on the couch. I have five minutes. The student shouldn't take too long in there.
I waited until I had two minutes left. Damn. I guess I can't give him the coffee...
"Can you give this to Haar when he's done with the student?" I asked, placing the cup of coffee onto the desk. The secretary cast me a glance.
"Sure." She assured me, taking the cup and putting it next to her computer.
"Thanks." I gave her a grin as I left the office. My grin faded off, as I began to sulk. It sucks that I can't give Haar the coffee, but hopefully he'll like it! It's a shame though. I wanted to see his reaction to it. I bet it would've been cute- ... interesting. Not cute. Heh.
I walked up the main stairs, taking my place at the over-hang, by the elevator, as the bell rang. Students flooded the hallways, pushing, shoving, and shouting. I snickered as I remembered what happened to Mr. Haar.
Seriously though, these kids are brutal!
