It going on four in the morning, and the only waitress in the building was wiping down tables. She was suppose to be off an hour ago, but the next waitress to come in was running late. Though the diner was empty, except for the two customers, the young woman looked at her watch, taking a deep breath. She knew that her mother would be calling soon, to tell her that she needed to come pick up her daughter, so she could go to work herself, at five.
One of the two customers, a man, in his early thirties, watched as the young waitress paced the diner, impatiently, trying to keep herself busy. He was curious as to why she looked so worried and stressed. Deciding to mind his business, the man looked back down at his laptop computer, reading email pertaining to his business. A few moments later, the woman walked towards the man with a coffee pot in her hand.
"All done?" She asked, referring to the empty plate on his table. He nodded his head, giving her a small smile. "Would you like more coffee?"
"Yes, please." He said, with a slight southern accent. He admired the woman, as she filled up his coffee mug. Beautiful was all he could think of her, but he could also see how tired she was. "Long night?"
She chuckled, shaking her head. "The longest..I can't wait to just get home and get in my bed."
"I hear you. I would be doing that night now, but I got some work to do." He said, pointing at his laptop.
The woman was about to respond, until she heard a ring as the door opened, letting you know someone was coming or going, and she saw it was the next waitress.
"Well, good luck with your work. Don't work too hard, though." She smiled, before walking away from the man.
She walked towards the back, taking off her apron, and went into the staff room. She gathered her things as her coworker took her time, looking at herself on the mirror. She rolled her eyes, went to the register to clock out, and made her way out of the diner, starting the walk to her mother's house.
Though she had a car, the battery had given up on her, and she didn't have the money to fix it, so she got around by bus and walking.
Her phone ringing abruptly, startled her a little, but she answered after realizing what the noise was.
"Girl, where the hell are you? You know I gotta go to work!" Her mother yelled in her ear, not even giving her the chance to say 'Hello'.
"Mom, I just got off of work. The next person was running late, but I'm on my way now."
"Well, hurry up. By the time you get here, Ben will be here with her." She said. The woman took a deep breath, trying to keep herself from cursing her own mother out.
"Do not leave my daughter with your husband. I'll be there soon. Just give me a little bit of time." The young woman said, while walking faster.
"If you're not here in thirty minutes, I'm leaving." Her mother said, hanging up the phone. The woman sighed, putting her hands in the pockets of her jacket, and continuing her walk.
Thought it was a risk, the woman decided to walk through the sketchy alley way. She tried to fast walk through the alley, and she had almost gotten through peacefully, until she felt someone grab her arm, and snatch her closer to him.
"You really thought I was going to let someone as pretty as you, walk by?" The man, whispered into her ear. The woman tensed up, and was frozen. She was trying to think of so many ways to get out of this situation, but she couldn't move, she was too afraid.
He man slowly dragged his hands down her back, and and roughly grabbed her butt, and she whimpered, closing her eyes. The man, slammed her body against the hard, brick wall, and she finally started screaming and crying, while the man tried to put his hand up her dress. She bought her knee up, hitting right between his legs and he groaned in pain, getting go of her. She tried to run away, but the guy grabbed her leg, making her fall down on the ground. He climbed on top of her and punched her in the face, twice. Her vision was blurry and she felt herself going in and out of consciousness.
The man pulled up her dress, and started to pull down her panties, but all of a sudden, everything stopped. She wanted to see what happened, but she didn't have the energy, and she had ended up blacking out entirely.
