Today was the day that Amina was finally going to meet the client that she helped Chadwick with a few months back, and she was beyond nervous. She didn't really see the point in meeting the man, it's not like he could hire her or anything. She doesn't have the qualifications or transportation to be able to work for the man in the first place.
A part of her wanted to just tell Chadwick that she didn't want to go, but she felt that since he was doing so much to help her and Nova out, going to this meeting would like doing him a favor back.
One of the challenges Amina had was finding something nice enough and professional enough to wear. She didn't have too many nice clothing, since she couldn't really afford it, and the last thing she wanted to do was tell Chadwick that, because she already knew that he would have gone out of his way to take her shopping. After looking through her bags of clothes, she finally found an outfit that she had bought a few years ago for a job interview.
After laying the outfit down on the hotel bed, she walked into the bathroom and turned on the shower. While the shower was warming up, she took the time to brush her teeth, and put her locs up in a bun. After doing that, she took off her clothes and the necklace Nova's dad had given her as a birthday present. She wore it at all times, and only took it off when she was showering. Nova had a matching necklace, but Amina wanted to wait until she was old enough so she didn't lose or break it. She knows how hard he worked to be able to buy the both of them.
After taking off her clothes, she took the time to look at herself and her body in the mirror. Amina knew she was an attractive woman for the most part, but there was something in her head telling her that there was something about her that didn't deserve to love or be loved. It was an understatement to say that she wasn't over Nova's father. She felt that he was the only man who truly understood her and loved her the way she needed to be loved. He was her person, and since he was gone, she had no one else. At least that's what she thought.
Finally snapping out of her thoughts, she sighed and stepped into the shower. While Amina was getting into the shower, Chadwick had just gotten out and decided to call his wife, but after calling her twice and she didn't answer, he sighed and decided to put the phone down. Since their small argument a few days ago, Monica wouldn't answer his phone calls, but made sure to text him back whenever he asked if her and their baby was okay.
He sighed, and started to get dress for this meeting. He knew that Amina was nervous to go, but he felt like this could possibly be a huge opportunity for her. It could be just what she needed to get her a well-paying job, to be able to get her own house, car and get Nova back with her. Chadwick really just wanted to see Amina do better and do well. He wanted to see her be happy, and he wasn't sure exactly why he was going out of his way to make sure she was good, but he felt like he needed to help Amina. There was something about her that he just couldn't leave alone, and he wasn't sure what or why.
After Chadwick was completely dressed and ready to go, he left his hotel room and went to Amina's and knocked on the door. The door opened after a couple of seconds, and he smiled seeing how nice Amina looked. He was so use to seeing her in t-shirt and jeans, and he thought she looked beautiful then, but seeing her dressed up and even wearing a little bit of makeup, it was nice to see.
"Wow, you look amazing." He said as he walked into the room and closed the door behind him as Amina walked towards the bed, and sat down to put her heels on.
"Thank you." She said softly, before standing up. "I hope this isn't too much, this is all I really have to wear."
