Crinkled eyes, sparkling with laughter,
Light reflecting from your cheeks marked by the dimples yet softer,
Warmth emanating from your fingertips,
Glistening to turn mellow,
What's been frozen so cold. It's the destined pavement of your brightest dreams,
On a lone street you don't recall yet, it seems.
Lost amid the acrimonious ambiguity surrounding your sorrowful soul,
You curiously wonder and patiently wander,
Younger and stronger, filling optimism yonder.Infallible is the belief you wear on your shoulders,
Like the cape heralding a brighter dawn,
Sprouting hope as chrysanthemums bloom from a spring long gone. But sometimes when the frost reaches the doors,
Sometimes the glass shatters,
Scattering smithereens all over the well polished floor,
It brings a numbing heaviness about the crevices of the cusp of your heart,
You dare not look up, for slowly fall now tears that smart.Lingering happiness and hope,
Tantalizing images, waiting to be touched, waiting for you to welcome them into your home.
You feel them fade away faster than before,
Melting, piece by piece like the sun dissolving at the horizon. And now darkness,
Inevitably squandering away all that you wish to touch, all that you wish to feel,
A ravine, and you fall,
Endless is the chasm, yet you don't hit rock bottom.Call it magic, call it true,
Something lifts you, takes you to a plane anew.
It's still dark, it's still cold,
But lost is the eerie silence which had crept into your bones.Unexpected warmth engulfs you,
Surprising you with its sheer brevity and makes you feel lighter than wings,
The kind you'd see in fairytales,
Silver, with a hint of glitter. You take the unexpected bend to the caves of expectation,
Still dark, but a lighter dark,
A distant melody floats towards you,
Intermingled with the electricity making your spine tingle. You move faster,
Your legs moving of their own accord,
Anticipation builds,
awareness surmounts,
And you're met with a picturesque dazzling,
For laid out in front of you are millions of stars fallen from the sky, still sparkling.Call it bioluminiscense,
Call it the aura of beautiful souls and their essence,
There it lies for you to behold,
An embellished eden of glistening gold.Mirroring the skies on days when you,
Walked along the cinderblock tiles,
The sun a mere reflection of your heart,
The wind a mere echo of your thoughts,
The music of the spheres, nothing but your words. And as you look carefully now,
You'll find your path lit up again,
By thousands of the tiny lives, Breathing you back into your own life.Illuminating everything they touch,
Turning darkness to light,
With their movements crystalline white,
Leading you to the pavement you shall recognize this time it seems,
For it leads you to the Door of your Dreams.
