Retire into the grassy recesses
Quagmire is the expanse you behold
Malignant and repulsive are the flowers
Prettily dotting daintily, the conniving bushes
The faint lilt of the dim twilight
Fades, as the sound of your footsteps
Come closer,
Even treads, uneven breaths
Your fingers shake but resolute are your eyes
Your lips tremble but fierce are your smilesExquisitely intricate is the fine web which closes in
Immaculately trapping you in its woolly knots like
Steel manaclesDeceptive leaves conceal them
Seraphic illusions delude
Yet perfectly clear you see
Unaffected, untouched
Shoulders unbending
Despite the weight of the world overbearing
Carefree, benign and besieged
Childlike, simple and sombre
Unfathomable is your wand which weaves wonderful words
To spell serendipitous stories and spells
Into crystalline constellations
The only ones fortunate
Fortunate enough
To truly encompass,
Who you are
On the other side of the grass.
