"Mum? What does the letter mean by...all the things it said?" Chase asked. Mrs.Smith did not answer. She was too overwhelmed with shock. Mr.Smith spoke for her,

"Chase, it means Becca is a witch." Becca's siblings shot out of the chairs, got down on their knees in front of Becca and started pleading,

"We are so sorry! We never meant to be mean to you! We were just having a good ol' time! Right, guys?!" asked a trembling Chase. The rest of Becca's siblings nodded. This made Becca laugh. Becca enjoyed this. I can do whatever I want now that I am a witch! Becca looked at her brothers and smirked.

"Honey, if you are going to use this power for evil, we won't let you go." Mrs.Smith said. Becca groaned.

"When do we have to reply by?" asked Mrs.Smith.

"Uhh," Becca checked the paper again,"the 31st of July,"

"What day is it?"

"Thursday." Becca replied.

"You know what I mean, Rebecca! Don't play smart with me!"

"It's July 30th." stated Becca.

"We'd better write them now! When does term start?"

"The 1st of September."

"Chase, could you please hand me a piece of parchment from the stationary?"

"I don't know. Can I?" Chase replied.

"5, 4, 3-"

"Alright, I'll get it!" And he then whisked away to the stationary.

"One problem, mum. I don't know where to get my supplies." Just then, there was a meowing at their door. Loud meowing. Becca went to the door to reveal a dark gray cat with some black areas. The cat scurried in.

"HEY! GET BACK HERE, CAT!" Becca shouted at the cat. The cat turned around to look at Becca. It's green eyes staring into Becca's hazel ones. It then got up on its hind legs which began to look like human legs, human feet. The cat got taller and taller to the hight of a human. It began to look human. Soon, the cat had become a woman with gray hair tied in a bun. Her spectacles sat lazily on her hooked nose. She was wearing a large black hat with a pointed top. It looked like a hat those stereotypical witches would wear. She wore long green robes that covered her feet. Her face was slightly wrinkly. She looked as if in her late fifties or early sixties.

"Hello, Rebecca. I'm Minerva McGonagall. I'm head of Gryffindor House and Transfiguration teacher."

"I..." Becca started, but no other words managed to escape her lips. She stared in awe at the woman who was just seconds ago a cat. How on Earth could she do that?! Becca thought to herself, still staring at the transforming woman.

"I'm sorry I kind of barged in like that. Uh, Mrs.Smith? May I take your daughter shopping in Diagon Alley? I'm one of her professors at Hogwarts. In her second year, she'll have me as a Transfiguration teacher. When we come back from shopping-"

"I never said you could go! We don't know you! For all we know, you could be trying to take her away and-"

"Do you honestly think I could do that? I'm just an old woman." Professor McGonagall told Mrs.Smith feebly. Mrs.Smith looked like she was going to say no but surprised them.

"Come back right away after you have gotten all her supplies." and with that, Mrs.Smith walked away.

"Let's hurry before your mother lashes out." McGonagall whispered to Becca. Becca nodded and Professor McGonagall led her out the door. When they arrived, Professor McGonagall transformed back into a cat. The cat then started running down the pavement. Becca then followed.
