:A/N:I was just informed that Robin Williams died recently. I'm really mad and sad because he was one of my favorite actors. Comment here to pay your respects:
Becca, Claire, and Skylar walked gloomily to their Potions classroom. Why did the mess have to have been cleaned up so quick? As they entered, a boy pushed past Becca and her friends. He turned around and smiled widely. It was Lachlan from Hufflepuff. He looked at Becca.
"Hi. I'm Lachlan. What's your name?"
"Becca." Becca replied.
"Who're you two girls?" Lachlan asked while gesturing towards Claire and Skylar.
"I'm Claire and this is Skylar." Skylar waved. Lachlan smiled. He then started walking away.
"Wellllllllll that was weird." Skylar said while chuckling. Claire and Becca nodded in agreement. The girls found their seats and hunched over their Potions books and cauldrons. They already knew the assignment because they were continuing off from the day before Potions was cancelled. Skylar's potion bubbled and boiled as she added ingredients which was supposed to happen. Claire's turned the pretty fuchsia color as was directed. Becca's potion became as thick as the potion was described to do if you stirred correctly. The girls looked at each other's potions and frowned.
"If only we could all've our potions to have the same traits the potion we are supposed to make. Like, mine is bubbling, Claire's is pink, and Becca's is thick. If only ours could have all of those at the same time." Skylar said, still frowning. Again, Becca and Claire nodded.
Lunch in the Great Hall was always Becca, Skylar, and Claire's favorite time of the day. Not just because of all the food, but because they also got to talk to each other freely. That morning, the owl post came and Skylar received a copy of The Daily Prophet. She had saved the newspaper for lunch. Right now, she was updating the girls on Gringotts' goblin employees going on strike for more money. She then gasped so loud, the other fellow Ravenclaws went quiet and turned to stare at Skylar.
"What?" Becca asked.
"People are staaaaaaaariiiiiiiiing..." Claire said.
"Oh, no! The Minister of Magic was found dead! The cause is for sure, the Killing Curse. Oh, no..." Skylar said while looking genuinely concerned.
"Who's gonna be Minister now?" Becca asked.
"It says that-NO! Mr.Bradley Marinia is going to be the new MINISTER!" Skylar exclaimed. As if on que, Longnose Marinia strode by the table and smirked menacingly at the paper in Skylar's hands.
"So, you've heard." Marinia sneered."Daddy is going to be a better Minister than that retched Minister Bankinley! Maybe he'll even outlaw Mud-Bloods from coming to Hogwarts. That'll be lovely. But, not for Smith...pity. At least you'll be with your Muggle family! And away from us..." Becca glared at Meredith and swore under her breath.
"Don't listen to her, Becca. She's just acting like this because her father is now Minister. She isn't the important one." Skylar hissed angrily.
"Excuuuuuse me?! What did you lower class, so-called witches say?! UGH! My daddy will hear about this!" Meredith had eavesdropped and now was storming away furiously to her table.
"Drrrrrrama Queeeeeeen!" Claire commented. Becca and Skylar sniggered.
"Let's head out before Marinia's goons come to 'pummel' us! More like attempt to stand up!" Skylar said while laughing. Becca and Claire nodded whilst laughing as well.
