Becca slowed down next to a pole to catch her breath. Then, she felt a person's foot collide with hers. They exclaimed and fell over. It sounded like a boy's voice. Becca quickly turned to the person and helped them up. It was a boy. He had blonde hair and blue eyes. He looked around her age. He stared at her for a moment before sticking his hand out.

"Hi. I'm Matt. Matt Espinosa." He smiled to reveal his braces. Becca still just stared.

"Are you okay? I didn't mean to trip over you."

"Oh, uh. Yeah. I'm fine. Um. Sorry. I'm Becca. Becca Smith."

"Aw! Is that your cat?! It's adorable!" said Matt. Becca giggled.

"What? Ever seen a guy think a cat is adorable?" Becca shook her head.

"Well, maybe I'll see you around." said Matt.

"Yeah. Maybe. Bye." He walked away after quickly petting Cat McGonagall. The cat then started running again and Becca groaned as she caught up. They arrived at this strange and ominous looking building. It looked like some sort of pub. Cat Professor walked right in. Becca followed suit. Becca was hit with a strong smell of alcohol, candle wax, and putrid breath. Her ears were bombarded with sound from all over the room. The door closed behind her and the cat stopped where she was. The cat got on it's hind legs again and transformed back into her old woman form. Nobody took notice of a cat transforming into a woman. They acted as if it were normal.

"Minerva! I haven't seen you around for ages!!" shouted a man from behind the bar counter.

"I know, Tom. I hardly ever come to pubs and you know why." She smiled at him and he smiled back,"I've just come through to take Ms.Rebecca Smith to Diagon Alley. Her parents are muggles and don't know where to find it. I've taken the liberty of taking her to get her supplies."

"Ah! Rebecca Smith. I'm Thomas Peterson, though my friends call me Tom. As you can see, I am a bartender here at the Leaky Cauldron."

"Nice to meet you, Tom. I don't yet have an occupation. For I am only eleven." replied Becca politely. She earned a couple laughs. She just smiled sheepishly and followed Professor McGonagall to the back of the Leaky Cauldron.

"Professor. I thought all of those people were muggles. I thought you just exposed magic! I almost had a heart attack!" exclaimed Becca. McGonagall just laughed.

"I'd be more careful. If they were muggles, I could've just wiped their memories with a single charm. You will learn it at Hogwarts some year."

"How long will I be there?"

"A whole semester. But there are seven years at Hogwarts. You are going to be a first year." said McGonagall, beaming at Becca. McGonagall then started tapping a few bricks on the wall in front of them. The bricks started shifting and created an entry way. Men and women were bustling about their business wearing strange clothing. Some of them were dressed like McGonagall. Becca stared in awe at everyone. There were kids her age, under her age, over her age, and way over her age. At the window of some shop, kids were peering in and speaking and whispering enthusiastically and frantically.

"A Firebolt 1000!! I can't believe my eyes!" Becca overheard a ginger haired girl a year older than her whisper to her blonde friend.

"Harry Potter owned a Firebolt before one of his sons took it out for a test drive and ran into a tree! Now Harry has a Firebolt 100!" One other blonde girl Becca's age exclaimed to her friend, also Becca's age, who had chestnut brown colored hair. Becca walked with Professor McGonagall to a place called Flourish and Blotts. It was a book shop. McGonagall walked in and started frantically chatting with the woman behind the desk. The woman cast a glance in Becca's way and smiled brightly and happy.
