"Hey boy, I'm so in love with you, and I never realised that I did."

A young man in work uniform came out of the double doors with his hands clasped together to his front, in which Benjamin saw the opportunity to hand the keys to the black car we just drove in before, over to him to hold responsibility over the vehicle. They both gave each other a silent nod before the man climbed into the driver's seat, started the engine, and drove off to some dark pathway I didn't know about.

"Let's go," Benjamin said through his quietened tone, ushering me towards the inside of the hotel and through its lobby, with his hand resting on the small of my back.

On the way going inside, I was greeted by a doorman named Glenn, based on the name tag that was clipped onto his dry-cleaned red uniform, similarly to the first man I saw previously. Like Benjamin, he offered a welcoming smile as I walked in and just like before with Michael's driver, I thanked Glenn for his kindest hospitality.

Benjamin continued to guide me inside the hotel, walking past a reception desk with an attractive lady sitting behind it. Benjamin cautiously gave the busty lady a simple but familiar nod, indicating that I was with him, and it was presumed expected that she would respond back in some way. Instead, she didn't return the gesture. Through her square-rimmed reading glasses, her eyelined gaze was glaring into mine, and I could still feel her evil-like stare continue to burn at the back of my head as we walked further away from her until we were within her eye shot.

By the elevators now, Benjamin stepped forward to push the button with the arrow going up. As we watched the red numbers cascading down to zero standing side by side, Benjamin said, "You are a special girl."

I snapped my head towards Benjamin, looking up at him for I was standing too short, even in high heels. "What?" I asked dumbly, for that was the only response I could think of from that very moment.

"I see now why Michael was so fascinated of you in the first place," he added, ignoring my reaction as he stared blankly, almost with minus emotion, at the shiny steel metal of the elevator doors. "You're very different from the other girls he's been with."

If this was Michael's strategic way to have me slowly falling head over heels for him, it was steadily working on me.

I didn't further say anything else when the elevator doors opened and the two of us silently walked in. Even on the way up to Michael's floor, the both of us weren't much of a chatterbox.

Michael's floor was situated in the highest level, conveniently similar to Curtis' in his hotel.

When the elevator stopped moving and the doors separated to reveal the floor Michael was on, the view I was receiving was one like a situation in a horror movie. Where the main character stood before a singular door in a long dark hallway, questioning themselves of what lied ahead on the other side. The hallway leading up to Michael's penthouse barely had any light as the lights that were placed on the ceiling along the sides were dimmed, creating an ominous gut feeling.

It was maybe the way Michael wanted his guests to feel some kind of emotion before entering his private space, because I have certainly felt my stomach dropped at the daunting yet nerve-racking sight.
