Y/n POV
I looked up at the hole where I'd fallen from. "I need to get back up there. . . Mommy must be worried sick, not to mention Alex won't sleep knowing I'm gone." I sat up and dusted myself off. The fall was steep but I survived, and I'm determined to get back to my Mommy and older brother!I couldn't move my legs, not without being in excruciating pain. I cried out for help even if it seemed pointless, no one came. . .
I called again and again, until- "Oh my, are you hurt, my child?" I looked up to see a goat woman, her scarlet eyes filled with worry. "Do not worry my child, I am Toriel. Caretaker if the ruins." She reminded me of my mother, "Oh you poor thing, you must have fallen down. And to be so young, how old are you, my child?" I looked the kind goat monster in the eyes, "I am 7, I'll be 8 in a month." I said happily. The goat monster picked me up and put her hand on my head and I felt so much better. My legs didn't hurt anymore, and I became quite hyper. "You must have been through a lot to be down here, that fall is not a short one. How did you end up down here?" I pointed up, "I was playing Hide-n-Seek with my big brother. I wasn't watching where I was going and next thing I knew I was down here."
Toril carried me to her house, I don't remember much I fell asleep not too long after she left for her house. When I woke up I was in a room that reminded me of my room, except it was a little bigger than my room. I rubbed my eyes and walked out the door the see Toriel reading in a big chair. I ran over to her, she smiled and pat my head. "Hello, my child, how do you like your new home?" I looked at her confused, "My new home? Ms. Toriel I can't stay here. I need to get back to my mommy and big brother." Her eyes filled with sadness and her smile faded to a sad one.
"My child, you can't leave. The monsters beyond the ruins will hurt you and take your soul to the king. You aren't the first to have fallen down here my child." Toriel's face was full of grief and she was close to tears. "Please my child, you can't leave. . ."
I wanted to stay, I wanted to live with Toriel to make her happy. "Ms. Toriel, I can't stay here. My family is on the surface, they will be worried if I don't go home soon." She looked away from me trying not to let the tears fall from her scarlet eyes. She looked back at me with a sad smile, she held her paw out. "My child, I don't want to let you go. I don't want you to get hurt, but you are right. You have a family, you can't stay here. If you're going to leave you must change out of your clothes into something more suitable. There are clothes in your room, go pick out something suitable for the cold."
In the room was a bunch of striped sweaters, they where all green and yellow. I picked one with a pair of brown shorts, black leggings, and brown boots. After I changed I walked over to Toriel and she smiled sadly.
She led me to a big door in her basement. "My child, this is the exit to the underground. Behind this door, there are monsters who won't hesitate to hurt you. Please, stay safe my child. Make it back to your family." She let go of my hand, I quickly hugged her and she hugged back tightly. "Thank you for everything Ms. Toriel." I walked past the purple door.
I walked until I came to another door, past that door was a forest. It was like a Winter Wonderland! The trees and ground were covered with snow. The snow was so deep I couldn't even see my boots anymore.
I started walking until I came up to a big stick, I couldn't pick it up no matter how much I tried. I pat the stick, "ok, you're my new pet, watch my back then." and I continued walking, I saw a small bridge in the distance. I was Until I heard a snap. I quickly turned around and found that my new pet stick was snapped in half. "No! Sticky!" I ran back to him, I still couldn't pick him up. I ran to that bridge and I was about to cross it when someone called out from behind me. "Human. . . Don't you know how to greet a new pa-" I quickly turned around and pointed at the stick, "Someone hunt my pet!" It wasn't until after I said that I noticed that the person, or well monster, behind me was a skeleton.
The skeleton looked at me confused and turned around to see the broker stick. He facepalmed, "dear Asgore, you're as dumb as my brother." he sighed and continued. "Ok human, come on. We're going to my house." Get grabbed my hand and dragged me through the snow until we came to a house that looked Christmas-y. When we got inside a smaller, younger-looking skeleton walked up to me and the older skeleton and had a small smile. "Hello Sans. . ." he seemed to timed to say anything else.
Sans let go of my hand, "Papyrus, watch this human, shouldn't be too hard. They're just as stupid as you." Papyrus hid part of his skull in his turtleneck and without a word nodded. Sans left the house.
"Why is your brother so mean?" I asked rubbing my hand where Sans had squeezed a little too hard. "He's always like that. But deep down he's a good person. . . Human, how old are you?" I smiled "I Y/n, am 7 years old." I said and got into a heroic pose. Papyrus laughed and I laughed along with him.
"I've never seen a human in the underground before. How did you get here?" I shrugged, "I was playing Hide-n-Seek with my older brother. His name is Alex, and he's super cool-" I then went on and on about all the fun things Alex and I do together and how cool he is. I didn't notice till later that Papyrus seemed saddened by my words. "You should come with me! We can go see Alex together!"
"How?"
"I don't know yet, how do people leave the underground?" Papyrus shrugged. "Monsters never leave the underground. Besides, I don't want Sans to come back to an empty house."
"Ok, then I guess we can just stay here for now, but I need to get back to my family."Papyrus and I went up to his room, he had toys that we played with. The toys looked old and kinda beat up but we still had a great time. I'm not sure how long we played with the toys but after a while, we both fell asleep.
It wasn't until Sans came into Papyrus' room that we woke up. I yawned and rubbed my eyes, Sans looked at both of us. He looked kinda happy but I couldn't tell for sure. "Sans, how do I leave the underground?" His look quickly changed, "You can't, there's no way to leave the underground."
Sans' pov
That question she asked made me kinda upset. Papyrus was happy with her being here. I'm not letting her leave that easily.*you, the reader are faced with a choice. You can push Sans to see is he will tell you. Or you can stay underground."
Y/n's pov if you chose not to push.
"So. . . There really isn't a way to get back to my mommy and brother." My eyes teared up, "I-I'm stuck down here. . ."After a while, I learned to like it down here. Papyrus and I became close and Sans. . . He was still mean to me and Papyrus. Papyrus only wanted to make Sans happy, as I grew a dislike for Sans. He was a bad brother, he was nothing like Alex. . .
Y/n's pov if you chose to push for the truth.
"Toril told me there was away! You're lying!" I yelled pointing at Sans. He seemed taken back by my tone. Sans became angry, "kid, there's no way out. You're trapped down here just like the rest of us!" I threw a toy at him, "stop lying! How do I get out of here!"I don't know how long we fought and yelled but after a while, Sans gave up. "Fine, come with me! He dragged me through the underground until we came to the castle. He showed me the barrier. "You want to leave so bad, go ahead. But never come back here again or I'll kill you. Understand?" I didn't care what he said I ran through the barrier and ran home. Alex and mom were waiting for me. I couldn't contain my happiness.
But, to this day I wonder. Are Papyrus and Toriel all right?
I'm sorry if this didn't make much sense. I tried and I'd love feedback. Please let me know if there is anything I need to improve on.
Anyway, until next time.
