Mr. Delgado's back was against the door, so Christina knocked on the glass. He looked back at her as if he didn't know she was there. He really was full of it.
"Yes," He mouthed through the glass.
"let me in," Christina mouths back
Mr. Delgado mouths, "What? I cant hear you?" Christina leans back and twists her mouth to the side.
Really? We both aren't saying anything! Christina thinks to herself.
Mr. Delgado says something to the class then he steps outside. "Yes, Miss Bolter?" he asks her.
"I'm on time."
"Not according to the bell schedule."
"Forget the bell schedule, you sped the time up Ethan."
Mr. Delgado looks at her confused.
"Oh please, don't give me that crap. I know my boyfriend when I see him, no matter how long it has been. So stop playing games and tell me why you're here?"
Mr. Delgado puts a finger to his lips, then says, "I'm here to teach you, to fill in for your teacher. Now if you have a problem with that Miss Bolter, I suggest you take it up with the principle."
Christina was going to respond to him rudely but then she spotted Mrs. Rose coming down the hall. "Is everything okay, Mr. Delgado?" she asks.
He waves at her, "Hello Sara. No everything's okay here."
"Okay just let me know because she is a wild one."
Christina winced at her then stuck out her tongue. Mrs. Rose went into the Teacher's lounge obviously not seeing her. "Stop that," Ethan says in a strong commanding voice.
"Whatever do you mean?" She gives him her most innocent look.
"You know what I mean, Christina. You have detention, now get in that class and behave."
"Yes sir!" Christina says mimicking a soldier's salute then she laughs her way to her seat. As soon as she seated, she pulls out her cell phone, plugs in her headphones, lays her head on the desk and she is out.
Mr. Delgado taps Christina on the shoulder. She pulls her head up but quickly covers her eyes from the light. "What?" she asks groggily.
"The bell just rung."
"How long ago?"
"What? Why didn't you wake me?"
"I don't get paid for that. This is a classroom Christina not a daycare. I assume you would wake up yourself."
Christina rolls her eyes, "Yeah. Yeah. Whatever. Got to go bye."
"See you in detention!" He yells behind her. When she waves him off he adds "Don't make me look for you Bolter."

Christina makes it to her next class just in time. She did not need another detention. Plus this teacher was far worst than the sub and her regular teacher. The one of many teachers she despised, Mrs. Rose; the lady's not even married but she is still stuck over her last husband. She's the only teacher that still does assign seats in high school. It just so happens that her alphabetical arrangement goes by rows and not columns so Christina sits front row and centered.
Christina takes her seat and pulls out her 4" heavy duty Binder. It was only the first semester and it was already half full. This lady worked their fingers to the bone. Christina tried to bring a laptop to put all her work on but Mrs. Rose wasn't having it so she's suck with good old faithful, paper and pencil.
