The ride back home was filled with a deafening silence. Christina studied the objects outside the window as they passed by and Ethan kept his eyes on the rode. “I don’t want to go home,” Christina says breaking the silence. Ethan’s eyes landed directly on hers, “Where do you want to go then?”

“I don’t know, anywhere but home.”

“Okay, do you want to stay out or……”

“Or?”

“My place?”

“Ummm, I don’t care.”

“My place it is then,” Ethan did a big and illegal U-turn and sped off in the opposite direction. The ride to his house seemed like it took forever. He couldn’t drive fast enough down the long, dark empty road. He sped around cars while speeding at 135 miles per hour. He was a reckless driver, but I like danger, Christina thought. Ethan looked her with a wide grin spread across his face. She blushed and playfully punched him in the arm. “Why do you insist on abusing me?” Ethan questions her. “It’s funny,” she smiles.  Just then Ethan pulled into a neighborhood well-known as Edgerwoods, a community of the unknown rich. Thing is, everyone knew they were rich, they just didn’t know how.

“So this is you huh?” Christina asks captivated by the structure of his house. “It is.” Ethan gets out the car and opens her door, then leads her into the house. “So are you going to show me around?” “So are you going to wait until I turn the lights on?” “The lights have to be on? I thought you had 20/20 vision?” she asks sarcasm high in her voice. “Don’t you need the light though?” “Not for what we are about to do.”

“I thought you said no sex?”

“I did, but only because you acted like you didn’t want to freak me every time I tried to give it to you.”

“The timing just wasn’t right.”

“What are you a female? ‘The timing wasn’t right’ boy please. Leave you alone for over 300 years and suddenly you have a new respective on life?”

Ethan walks up to Christina and wraps his arms around her waist, “I’m not anyone but me. I just want to marry you first, that’s all.”

“What the fuck is this, Twilight? Who do you think I am? Look I’m a VAM-PI-RE and so are you, I don’t want to spend the rest of my existence with one guy. This is the 1800s anymore Ethan! I want love but I’d rather have sex.”

“What?! So we’re really doing this tonight? I brought you all the way over here so we can fight? Oh no, Chrissy, that’s not going down.”

“Well I’m trying to but you keep pushing me off, so if you want to fight. Throw your punches because I know how to throw it back.”

“No! We are not fighting.”

“No matter how much you say it doesn’t make it true. I know they say speak it into existence but right now….its not existing,” Christina blandly points out.

“What?! I don’t get it, I’m telling you all the things a woman wants to hear here, and you want even accept it?”

“Oh so now you’re just telling me everything I want to hear? If I wanted that I could have listened to some music, if that’s the case. Look I don’t need a ring to sleep with a guy in this day and time.”

“I don’t just want to sleep with you like I did all them other chicks. I’m trying to BUILD a REALTIONSHIP here, an empire in which we both sit on the throne, you and me king and queen.”

“Yeah and as I see it I’m the only one with the kahonas in this relationship.”

“Look, you don’t run this, I do and until I want to have sex with you, I will let you know. What ever happen to your morals?” Ethan states.

“Since when do you care about morals?”

“Since I’ve been living on this earth for over 300 years and I have yet to see a stable relationship last. Like come on Chrissy, all we do is argue now. What happen to kissing and the teasing and talking all day hoping that your doesn’t wake up and come looking for you and stealing you away from dates your father set you up on.”

“You sent me to the FUTURE you remember that Ethan? Forcing me to grow up with this time period, living with a stranger, finding that I’m not the only vampire but I’m way different from the rest of them. Plus other things I had to deal with BY MY-EFF’N-SELF Ethan.”

“Look I’m sorry I put you through that, but I was looking for you, I’ve been looking for and I get the strange feeling I’m still looking for you.”

“Okay I’m here, in your bedroom, still dressed and I don’t know why but for some reason you on some sappy -ish that I just can’t take right now,” Christina says turning away.

“You just can’t take this? Take WHAT? Me expressing my feelings to you? Because last time I checked it was over 55 million women in the world who would love a guy like me.”

“Then go have sex with one of them!”

“Look, Chrissy, I just don’t think this is going to work out, we are just too different now and I don’t know if I can love the new you,” Ethan says in a mellow voice watching the rain start outside his glass double doors. Drip, drop, drip, drip, drop, splash and then it poured down.

“Why because of my views on sex?”Christina carries on.

“Since when did our relationship become all about sex?”

“Wake the freak up Ethan! It’s always been about sex! You wanted it and I didn’t now you’re paying me back because I want it and now you don’t. That’s okay though, I have another source of getting what I want.”

“Who? That dude you live with? He ain’t shit.”

“Oh really, then why you bad mouthing him? Obviously he serves some kind of threat to you that he got you jealous.”

“I’m not jealous. When have you ever known me to be jealous?”

“Every time I’m with another guy.”

Ethan gives her a squint eye look, “Don’t try and play me. My father never taught me to let people play with me.”

“Last time I checked your father never taught you anything.” There was an awkward silence as Christina walks towards the door. She stops and says, “It’s like when you sent me to this time period, our aspirations and intentions changed or switched some how, because I remember quite clearly that you were the one always, very smoothly, badgering me about taking my virginity. Now I’m the one throwing it at you and you acting like you don’t know how to catch it. I know I hit a low blow just now with your father and I would tell you I’m sorry but right now I don’t really know that I am. Good-bye Ethan.” She slams the door behind her.
