Christina fly’s into the wall from the blow of Ryan’s hit. She knocks down all glass on the end table in the hall. A couple got into her skin but she didn’t want him to see she was afraid Ryan was to realize she wasn’t human like him. Christina got up and walked to the bathroom, Ryan stopped Christina in her tracks by grabbing her hair and jerking her back to him,”Where are you going?” “To the bathroom,” she yells. “No, you’re not. You are going to sit right here and we are going to talk about it.”

“Talk about what? There’s nothing to talk about.”

“First of all, why was your teacher here?”

“He insisted. I tried, I tried Ryan, I tried and he wouldn’t budge.”

Ryan grabs her face and squeezes it together, “You know my rule about people being over here.”

“But technically he wasn’t in the house,” she says through squished cheeks.

“You think you’re so smart huh?” Ryan asks walking away into the kitchen. Christina tiptoe runs behind him, She grabs the frying pan from off the stove and bangs it on the back of his head. He lets out a grunt and hits the floor with a bang. “Yeah I’m real smart, stupid—“she is interrupted by a phone call. “Hello?”

“Hey, I have a bone to pick with you.”

“Come pick me up and I’ll tell you all about it.”

“You sure your boyfriend wouldn’t mind?”

“Nah, he’s….sleeping right now and besides I need a ride to work.”

“Okay that’s fine with me. Come outside.”

“You’re here already?” she asks looking out the window. She walked out the door, locking it behind her, and she walked to his car. He got out and opened the door for her, “I never left.”

“So what is going on?” Ethan asks her.

“Nothing.”

“That’s not what you told me over the phone.”

“Ugh! If you really want to know, you have to promise me you won’t over react and retaliate,” Christina looks at him for verification but he doesn’t say anything, “I’m serious Ethan, nothing, you can’t do anything. Do you promise?”

Ethan looks at her in the most sincere way, “I can’t promise that.”

“Then I’m not telling you,” she says crossing her arms over her chest.

Ethan says in a baby voice, “Please! Pa-lease! Pleeeeeze! Please Chrissy. Please tell me.” She didn’t budge. “Okay then,” he continued then he started kissing her all over and tickling her until she begged for mercy.

“Okay. Okay. Okay!” she laughs, “I’ll tell you.” Why do I always give into him so much, she thinks to herself. “Because you love me,” he answers.

“Hey! These are my personal thoughts here. Stay out of my head.”

“Only if you stay off mine—“

“I haven’t even got on it yet—“

“Maybe you should—“

“Only if someone will let me, I would—“

“Nothing but opportunity. Go head—“

“Oh really, you gonna let me?”

“Yeah.”

“Mm, you think I won’t?”

“I KNOW you won’t.”

“Oh I will.”
