Finn Wolfhard's pov

I was surrounded by people and a lot of voices drowning me out.
'Wanna come for a party, I'm hosting it' 'i think you and I will be good friends' 'i love you'
They would say. I didn't pay attention to any of them.

During lunch I spotted Saige seated by herself
Does she have any friends? I thought to myself.

Don't judge a book by its cover I heard my mom at the back of my head.
I cringed at the thought of that.

Suddenly a girl walks up to Saige and talks to her for a few minutes and then walks away.

Saige was packing all her thing putting her headphones in her bag and her ipod.
Suddenly a guy comes walking towards her and grabs her by the wrist and drags her all the way to the back.

Is that her boyfriend? She never mentioned one. Obviously she wouldn't we just met.
Is that why she dodged me? When I tried to pat her?

Time passed

I finally see Saige getting out her books from her locker.
She had bruises all over her neck and arms.

Her boyfriend definitely did that to her.
A sudden wave of jelousy came over me.

Time passed

I was waiting for Saige in the Janitors closet. She was late.
She stood me up. I thought.
I was about to give up and open the doorknob.
Once I did I met Saige at the entrance trying to open the doorknob.

I smiled at her. "Thought you stood me up, angel" I said.
"S-sorry I got late " she apolagized.
"Don't be" I said holding onto her wrist and leading her the way out.

She yanked back her hand and looked at me like she was hurt.
"I'm sorry, what did-" she cut me off.
"Nothing y-you did. It's my f-fault" she said blaming herself.
I was about to ask her how it was her fault but she gave me a look and this presence that I should not dare ask her.

I obeyed her, I really wanted to ask her but she just somehow had control over me.
Never in my life had I experienced this.

"You know I always wanted to go to this lake nearby there's a deck in the side where you can dip your feet" I explained.

"R-really, y-you want t-to go t-there now?" She asked.
"Yes, please" I said in agreement.

Time passed

Dipping our feet in the water. She kept some distance between us.
"Hey, you never told me you had a boyfriend" I said curiosity closing up on me.

"What m-makes you t-think I have one?" She asked me. She looked at me intently.
"Well, a guy dragged you to the back and you came out with bruises on your neck and arm which, I don't wanna say aloud but hickey's" I explained.

"I don't have a b-boyfriend, what g-guy w-would l-like me?" She asked.
"Bump into more guys angel. You'll understand why" I said giving her a smirk.

She just raised her eyebrows. I was about to ask her where did she get those bruises from but she sensed that I was gonna ask her. She gave me that look again that bought me to obey her.

I found her so attractive, I just couldn't look away from her. Her eyes were blue and when the sun hit her her eyes would be green. Her small grins just lit her up. Her brown hair just blew back from the wind.

She caught me staring I didn't dare look away from her. I locked eyes with her but she just looked away from me.

Time passed

We were walking and stopped in our tracks. "My s-stop" she stuttered.
I nod at her and give a big grin.

"Today w-was peaceful. N-not l-like other dates. It w-was okay" she said.
I arched my eyes brows and gave her a smirk.

"Was this a date, angel?" I ask. She went red. "No, if I-It were o-one. I-It was o-okay" she answered quickly.
"Trust me, dates with me is better than this" I said.

She rolled her eyes at me. " Just take the c-compliment" she said.
I did an imitation of catching her words and put placed it on my heart.

She gave a small giggle. "You're c-cute and f-funny" she said and closed her eyes after hearing herself.
"Thanks angel" I said giving a small smirk.
"Your beautiful" I complimented.

She gave a crooked smile and bit her lip and then she snapped into reality.
"B-bye" she said slamming the door.

It must be our thing now ' slamming doors at each other'
"See ya later, angel" I said from behind the door.
"See ya later, hoser" she said from the other side of the door.

I smiled at the thought that she did not stutter when saying it.
