Saige Turner's pov

I cleaned my room and got dressed in my home clothes. A sweatshirt saying "sweet rock!" And some black tights. I started playing my guitar after Finn started playing it the other day. I forgot how much this guitar made a huge impact in my life.

I placed my guitar back in its original place, it's late in the night and Finn still hasn't turned up. Did he stand me up? No, he wouldn't hurt me emotionally. Would he? Wait why am I asking myself that!

I get my phone out and text Finn

Saige- where are u? Hope ur okay

Once it was sent he didn't reply. Maybe he was busy. A few minutes later he replies.

Finn- sorry I gotta go somewhere and my homework is already done I decided to do it by myself, hope u understand I can't come😅

Saige- I do. Good for u trying to do ur homework on ur own

That's was the end of our conversation.
I sighed and felt a bit sad at the fact that he couldn't make it.

Time passed

Jaeden came over to my locker to say hey. I was a bit nervous and butterflies flew around in my stomach. "Came over to say , What's up? You passed my locker and didn't say hi" Said Jaeden.

I gave a warm smile "Hey, sorry I-I was i-impolite" I said and walked away from him and he ran after me. "What do u have now?"He asked me. "S-science" I muttered.
"Great, afterwards wanna skip the next lesson together?" Jaeden asked.
I've never skipped lessons before so I thought why not.

Time passed

I ran out of class and met Jaeden at his locker. He gave me a smile, I couldn't resist smiling back. He made my stomach do a flip again. "Jeez, your smile us just...." His voice trailed off. He didn't finish what he was going to say. "So W-what are w-we up t-to?" I asked.

"I thought of just bunking school and going out for an ice cream, if your cool with that?" Said Jaeden. I looked down to my shoes and looked back up at him and didn't even realize we locked eyes. "I d-don't mind as long as our p-play date ends early" I warned.

"Short timings, I need to catch at a good time next time" He said.
I shrugged in reply. We walked all the way to the ice cream shop. "You know this place?" He asked me. "Ummmm..... no. I've heard of I-It t-though" I answered.
"Why not, this has been here forever. You live here right?" He asked.

"Yeah I live here I was born here but I just don't come around here" I answered.
He gave me a wide smile. It alarmed me because no guy except Finn gives me that smile. "What?" I asked letting out a short nervous laugh.

"You didn't stutter once" He said. I widened my eyes thinking about it. "Now don't let that scare you I hope we can talk normally now" He said.
"Yeah sure" I said.

He bought me an ice cream and I said that I would pay him back. I didn't know how I would pay him back but i knew how to pay him back with someone else's money (my sisters) "Don't need to. This is a treat for speaking to me without stuttering" He said.

I let out a short laugh and made some goofy jokes. He suddenly stopped and looked at me uneasily. "Saige" He said. "That's me" I answered.
"You have any interests in any guy?" He asked.
"Who would we be talking about? From you'll gang or out?" I asked.

"Let's say the group" He said. "I dunno. I barely know you'll to like you'll " I said.
"Rude, but there's Finn" He said.
"I forgot about him. I like him as a friend. Noone would like me a girlfriend" I said.

"You are crazy! There are guys who like you! More than that" He exclaimed.
I looked around the small shop and everyone's eyes were on us. "Keep your voice down will ya?" I said. Soon one of his fans came over to take a picture. He excused himself. "That's fine, go ahead" i said.

Ding!
Finn- where are you? Didn't see you anywhere after school.

Saige- I'm out

Finn- where with whom?

Saige- Jaeden at a small ice cream shop. It's fine.

Finn- you having fun?

Saige- I am. Thx for asking.

Finn- great, I gtg

Saige-sure

Finn- love u

Was he waiting for me afterschool? Soon Jaeden came over and sat next to me.
"Who were you texting? Sorry I'm nosy" He asked.
"That's fine, I'm was talking to Finn actually" I said. "He texted u first?" He asked.
I felt uncomfortable with that question because I thought it was a bit of a strange question.

"Does it matter?" I asked. "Well... kinda" He said. I sighed and said that Finn texted me first. "Are you sure you don't have thing for Finn?" He asked.
" He wouldn't like me. I promised myself no guys even if I'm in love. I might hurt them or they might hurt me and I don't need that right now. Love is a waste of precious time" I said.

"Wow you are clearly sticking with being single and you just spoke utter nonsence" He said. I tried to defend myself but then he said. " You may not realise it now but soon you'll find that one and regret everything you just said"

He decided to walk me home but then my sister rode by with her motorcycle. My heart rode on fast I was walking with Jaeden and my sister caught me. Soon I told Jaeden to drop me off here. "OK cool, I'm going over to Finn's. Tell if you need anything" He said. I nodded and left. My sister parked her motor bike in a corner.

"Who was that?" She asked. "Noone" I answered.
She didn't ask anything afterwards she just left me alone which was strange little did I know there was more to that.

OK, ok fine. Maybe there wasn't any answeres in this chapter but there were hints😅 the next chapter is just a fair warning that there might be some abuse coming up😨
