Saiges pov

I was studying to catch up on my missed work so I'm free later on.
I took a peek of my dress I'm wearing for the dance. I hid it on top of my closet hopefully my parents wouldn't find it. I heard a knock on my window. It was Finn so I opened it for him. I grinned at him. "Hey... it's like in the middle of the night" I said asking him what's the reason that he couldn't wait for tomorrow. "So has Jaeden Asked you out yet?" He asked but i rubbed my eyes. I yawned "Finn... it's really late and I am in my pyjamas doing work. Can it wait for tomorrow?" I asked and Finn shook his head. "You said you weren't interested in going for the dance but Sophia convinced you" Finn explained. I yawned again and fell back in my bed. "Correct" I answered. He held onto my arms and boy it hurt. "Jaeden is interested in Sophia... I'm sorry Saige" he said. Why didn't it bother me I should be mad. "What? You joking Wolfhard?" I asked and he shook his head. I grasped for my forehead and just laid it there. "I just wanna sleep... happy for Sophia. Is that weird?" I asked.
I looked at Finn and he furrowed his eyebrows at me and I asked him what. "It's just that... you never had feelings for Jaeden" Finn said. I shrugged and couldn't complain "I never experienced love" I said. Finn was offended by that comment. "I show love" he said. I grinned at him sincerely and got up I hugged him "yeah you are friendship love I meant experienced love love" I said and ignored the fact that my whole body was hurting. "You need sleep" Finn stayed and I looked at him and showcased myself "you think?" I asked. He placed me on the bed and was about to head out before I called out his name. "Finn do you mind playing the guitar and singing me a small song. But quietly? I'm so sorry I'm keeping you up late" I said like I was drunk but I was just extremely exhausted. "No your not. I'm here... my singing is horrible" he said. I grinned at him "no you have your own voice that's courage. People just sound like the songwriter. You own your voice I wouldn't necessarily say it sounds bad" I said trying to make him feel better. He grabbed my guitar and my study chair and sat next to me. "Any requests?" He asked. I just shrugged "make your own song on the spot" I challenged him. I covered myself with my duvet and tried to make myself comfortable and Finn picks his chords. "Challenge accepted" he said and I closed my eyes "I'm all ears" I said. He started strumming. I grinned just listening to it and Finn laughed at me. "Alright let's use my creative side" he said.
"I came through the window
For one question, but I seemed to bore" he sang and I laughed. My eyes still closed.
"Jaeden with Sophia... let's go together. The dance.... Im asking Saige
Will you go... with me?" He asked.
I fluttered my eyes open and looked directly at him. I sat up and looked at him unbelievably. "Why do you wanna go with me?" I asked. He looked away from me like as if my question was stupid. "Are you kidding? All honesty I am glad Jaeden didn't ask you out then I wouldn't take you... your an amazing person to hang out with " He said and I felt myself go hot. "Wh-What about Tash?" I asked and he waved it off "she got another" he said. I got a bit scared now because Finn was asking me out... or he might be just asking my out as a friend to the dance. "Saige say something" he Said nervously. "This is like a friendship thing?" I asked. He nodded. I was a bit disappointed a part of me kinda wanted him to say no. At least I'm going out with a friend I like. I still haven't answered him and he looked down disappointed. He placed my guitar back and my chair and it was all too fast for me to answer. He was about to leave but "yes" I said to him and he looked back "What?" He asked. I grinned and hugged him "I said yes. I wanna go to the dance with you" I said and I could feel him smile. I kissed his cheek "only on one condition" I said "anything" he answered. I sat back down in my bed. "We will come back to your place after the dance and you will play me a song" I said. Finn tugged at his sleeve "yes" he answered and I grinned. "Goodnight" He said and turned off the switch. It was dark but I still could see Finn through the natural light from my window. Night is bright. "Finn I know I ask so much but do you mind sleeping here tonight?" I asked him and he shrugged in the dark " sure I'll sleep on the couch near your desk" he said. I rolled my eyes at him "that couch does not have a blanket... just sleep with me. Is that weird?" I asked.
He said "it's a bit weird..." "we are just friends. I just really need a friend right now. Nothing crazy is gonna happen" I said and grabbed onto his wrist and dragged him over to my bed. Nothing crazy would happen. He slept on the right side of the bed and I cuddled up next to him. I put his arm around me and we were face to face I backed away a bit " Finn... thanks for going through shit for me and doing things for me" I said and he grinned "anytime" "by the way that made up song you sang was great. You could do better but it was your first try" I said and he laughed. "Good night Wolfhard" I Said and was about to kiss his cheek but I kissed the side of his lip. They were so plump I wanted to kiss again but I had to stand my ground. "I'm sorry-" "don't be. I-I liked it" he said and I chuckled and nuzzled into his chest since he was so warm and I slept comfortably.
