chapter 4: Detention

Oops figured I was late for class and walking down from the Library to class means I'm so gonna get detention cuz it's like a mile away. While running down to class I also spotted aaron running down to class as well so I quicky did a little check up on my face and hair do then we both got right in front of class at the same time,panting
"Oh look who we have here.......... latecomers!!!!"Miss Gate shouted making me startle a bit

"Um ma'am ,I just got lost reading in the library"I said knowing fully well that it would sound like a lie,i am Monique Chestnut,i can never go to the library I mean that's what everyone thinks

"Library I see"she said as she puts her hand on her chin

"So the both of you were in the library reading or should I say making out on the shelves!she shouted

Ewwww!!!!!!!!  the whole class chorused

"Shut up y'all"she shouted again and mimicked the class.i just bowed my head down as she accused me wrongly and aaron didn't even feel any different he just stood there like a statue
"Detention............you two will have a sanitation done in the library"she ordered and I felt relieved cuz the Library was always sparkling clean but then

"Not really the library but the old storeroom in the library"she said like as if she read my mind

"And you're doing this for three days,you and your boyfriend"she said as the whole class bursted into laughter. They obviously felt I was embarrassed standing close or having to be on detention with aaron but they didn't know it was a dream come true except it came in a very cunning way.

"What do you think you're waiting for,get moving to the storeroom"she shouted and we both left the entrance of the class walking down the hallway

It was weird walking down the Hallway way in silence but there wasn't anything to say.Then we got to the storeroom and I was so shocked to see how dirty the place was

"Holy crap"I said putting my hands above my hips and then I received a call from ethan, I've been avoiding him since I ditched our date and he also did the same and now he's calling me up.....why?I thought not realizing aaron was talking to me
"Hey,you okay?"he asked raising a brow
I shook my head and nodded "I'm good"

"I was just asking if you can help me remove the books from the shelves while I clean the dusts and the cobwebs"

"Oh yeah,i'll do that"I said putting my hair behind my ear
I stared at aaron through out the cleaning,watching him remove his grey bodyhug

"Oh, I'm so sorry"he said seeming to be a prude

"No I'm okay,this place is freaking hot anyways"I said still trying to admire his body.
I mean I never knew a nerd could also have a model like body,muscled up with eight  haps,i mean he totally had it all no one noticed that cuz they all felt he wears a huge glasses and carries textbooks all the time,he couldn't be put with guys like ethan Whitehorse.

He wore his bodyhug feeling I might be uncomfortable which was totally wrong,his body smelt like cologne just like my papa,i was so lost in his body that I didn't notice my phone ringing until aaron snapped his finger in my face

"You gon' pick up the call or...."he said glancing at my iPhone

"Yeah,course"I replied feeling awkward.The call was from ethan,why is he disturbing now of all times,i decided to walk out of the library and pick the call and boom I bumped into ethan

"Hey...."I said in a weird tone

"Hey, was searching for you everywhere until I saw Andy and she told me you got into detention"he explained

"Yep unfortunately I got late to class"I said feeling like I'm fly

He laughed

"It's really not a big deal for we popular kids you know"he stated and as I was about to give him a reply,i spotted aaron close to me

"Hey,i gotta go. we'll continue tomorrow"he said as he ran a hand into his hair then walked out
I watched him till he was out of sight, I mean I would have stayed in the storeroom all day just to be with aaron but I guess that isn't up to destiny

"Wow,i can't believe you have to be on detention alone with a nerd like aaron salmon, I mean the dude acts like a sissy sometimes,i mean all the time"he corrected and I had to fake out a chuckle to his lame joke

"C'mon Monique,i need to talk to you"

"I'm all ears"I said acting like I didn't know what he was gonna talk about

"I came by your house to pick you up for the date only for your dad to tell me you had gone to meet your mom"he explained

"Yeah,my mom was sick so I had to go meet her in the hospital,i kinda even spent the night on the hospital"I lied which was something I was good at anyways

"I thought you said you lost your mom"he said as if interrogating me

My dad seriously fucked up at lying and I just had to make this lie look like the truth

"I call my mum's sis,my aunt  took care of me since I was a baby so I call her my mom"I said the truth although she wasn't sick and I was home that night and watched his car drove away from my house

"Oh, I'm sorry for the misunderstanding. We'll surely go on a date soon,after the party maybe"he offered

"Yeah,sure"

"Talking about the party,will you be attending?

"Yeah,andy forced me to"I said

"That's cool then,see you at the party. I gotta quickly go to the gym"he said and I waved him goodbye
