"Mind telling me who their father is?" I flinched when I heard Seth.
"Let's not talk about that, Seth."
For the mean time, we rented a fully furnished penthouse unit in BGC to reside on. It is easier and more convenient for us to leave in a secured place like a condo. The kids are also used to condo-living because it is similar to where we stayed in Paris before.
They were both sleeping already. Thank goodness, I got time to unpack our things. I slept well in the plane kaya meron pa akong natitirang energy to fix stuffs.
"Why not? Gusto kong pag-usapan 'yun ngayon na." He answered. Natawa ako dahil sa knyang accent. "Don't laugh. I'm serious." He said, his voice deadly.
Seth is a serious type of man. He can joke around but when serious matter's the subject, he rarely speaks and just ask questions that are really relevant. And when he asked, you should answer with utter seriousness or else...
It's either he get the joke and get along with it or you're dead. I remember one time when we threw him a surprise birthday party ay hindi siya natuwa bagkus ay nagalit pa. That was the time when Anna – his sister – sprained her ankle from running away to Seth's wrath. Si Anna kasi ang nagpasimuno ng surprise birthday na hindi naman niya nagustuhan because he doesn't like the spotlight. Yup, that simple.
I finished the fourth luggage first before getting up. I sat beside the twin's bed. "I guess he's mad at me." I simply said, looking at my kids.
I sighed.
"I met a guy at the airport. It creeped me out that he exactly looked like your kids. I just thought to ask you now about their father because of it. Nothing else." He sighed. "And his name was Mark."
Biglang kumabog ang dibdib ko. This immediate reaction is very familiar to me. Damn, that was fast?
"Y-you saw him?" Tanong ko kay Seth.
"Yup." He sat at the bar stool and faced me.
"Anong pinag-usapan nila ni Marco? Paano silang nagkita?" Im feeling giddy to know the details! I wanted to cry 'coz of anticipation but...
"Marco got away, right?" I nodded. We split ways to look for him. "I saw him talking to that guy named Mark. I overheard Marco saying that you don't like clenching jaws that's why he caressed Mark's jaw as if calming it. Right there, I had this theory that maybe he's the father because I can see very well that he has the same resemblances as your kids have." He paused. "And a girl butted in, her name is Mich. She said that she has the same eyes as Marco and I agreed with it. She really has."
