Chapter 6

The next day Imani and Jayden walked into school together. People were looking at them. Jayden walked over to his locker. He said, "So I'm leaving at twelve because I have to handle some business." She asked, "Can I go with you?" He said, "No."

She wined and asked, "Why?" He didn't want her to see him handle the business the way he needed to handle it. She said, "Well, I have already seen you shoot someone, so-" He said, "Yeah. How did you see that?" She laughed it off and said, "Did I say I saw you; I mean I heard about it." She tried to walk away but he grabbed her arm and said, "Don't even think about it. Just tell me."

She leaned on the locker and said, "Someone told what you are and wanted to prove it to me, so they took me to the house you always be at and that's when I... seen... you." She looked down and bite her lip nervously. He asked, "Who is this someone?" She asked, "Why?" He shook his head and said, "Nothing. I'll find out."

She asked him to not do anything if he does find out. Jayden insisted that he had to, and she wrapped her arms around him and begged him. He rolled his eyes and said, "Fine." They kissed and Markel came around the corner and seen them. He was shocked and heated.

Imani walked away and Jayden grabbed his book out his locker to go to class. Markel followed Imani to her locker. He asked, "Moni what the fuck was that?" She looked at him and asked, "What are you talking-" and he cut her off and asked, "So you and Jay a thing now?" Imani nod her head and asked, "Is that a problem?"

He started going off about how Jayden just using her. She cut him off and told him to stay out of her love life. He was still trying to convince her that dating Jayden was a bad idea. She got mad and said, "Stop! How about you stay away from me. We already fucked, so no I'm not staying away from him." The bell rang and Imani sighed, "I got to go." She closed her locker and walk around him to go to class. Markel's feelings were hurt and he walked to his class with his head down.

Meanwhile, Mariah told Michael that the cops were on the way to the school to pick Imani up. Micheal was so happy on the inside, because she hadn't been home in a week, and he needs her. He said, "Her ass better be home because if you lying I'm gone beat your ass. I need her ass to be here when I get here tonight." Mariah looked at him confused and asked, "Why?" He told her to don't trip and Mariah just nod her head and said, "Okay." Michael left out of the house. 

Later that day, Brandon was in the trap with Jayden. They were in Jayden's office talking. Brandon asked Jayden if he remembers that guy he killed a few weeks ago named Common. Jayden said, "Yeah. Why?" Brandon told him that Common daughter was bad as fuck (which means she was sexy), but that nigga who came to the trap a few weeks ago wanted Brandon to find her. Jayden asked what was the bitch name he had to look for.

Brandon told him that he didn't know because one of his workers haven't got in touch with him yet. But then Brandon's phone was ringing. He answered it and said, "Yo?" His worker said, "Her name is Imani Benson. That's the girl he wants you to find. When you find her take her back to the house on 21st street." The worker was still telling Brandon information about Imani.

Like how old she is, her parent's name, and the school she goes to.  All Brandon could do was look shocked. When he hung up the phone Jayden asked him what was wrong. Brandon nervously said, "I killed yo girl father." Jayden was shocked as fuck and shook his head in disappointment.

Brandon said, "No matter what you do Jay you can't tell her." Jayden said, "I won't, but I soon will have to when she's prepared." Brandon said, "Okay, but who lives at 21st?" Jayden told him it was Imani crack headed mother and her husband. Brandon asked him if he knew the husband that was staying there.
