Chapter 12

The next morning, Jayden woke Imani up and said, "Come on get up. We need to talk because when I drop you off at home, I have to go." Imani sat up and asked, "What we need to talk about?" He asked, "Who taking you to school?" She said, "Uhh, I don't know probably Markel." Jayden put on his shoes and said, "Uhh, no. I don't want this nigga knowing where I stay at."

She said, "Well you know Brandon is out of the picture." She folded her arms, and he stood up and said, "Baby he's the only one that I trust to be around you." She said, "I don't care. I don't want to be around Brandon. Anyway, Markel and I not even on that. He knows that I'm with you which he hates it, but he'll do anything for me." He said, "Imani no. I don't like him or trust him. I don't want him knowing where I stay, so it's either Brandon or Diamond." She rolled her eyes and said, "Diamond."

He said, "If I found out you had Markel pick you up or drop you off it's gone be a lot of-" She cut him off and said, "I said Diamond damn." He said, "You know you been having a damn attitude since last night." She stood up and said, "Well it's probably because your ass always telling me last minute shit." He sarcastically said, "Well I'm sorry. You wanted you to go to prom and we did. If we didn't go to prom than I would have told you sooner."

She said, "Whatever." And she rolled her eyes. He playfully choked her and said, "Lose your damn attitude before I help you lose it." She playfully rolled her eyes, and said, "Fine." He told her that she better be lucky that he doesn't have time to fuck her up. She playfully pushed him to the side and said, "Boy move. You not going to do shit."

He grabbed her and put her on the bed. She said, "Oh my God! Jayden stop!" He pinned her to the bed and she tried to break out his hold. He kissed her on the neck and looked at her. She had a sad face, and said, "Baby I'm gone miss you." "I am too," he said, as he kissed her.

When they were in the house Jayden told Imani that his uber was on its way. She hugged him and said, "Baby I don't want you to go." He said, "I know, but I have too." She asked if she could come. He said, "No it's really a business thing, and I don't want you seeing me as a monster."

She told him to not kill anyone, and he said, 'No promise made." She told him that he was so heartless. He smirked, "Was I heartless to you last night." The uber man pulled up and honk the car. Jayden said, 'Okay give me some love."

She hugged him and gave him a kiss. "I love you," he said, and she said, "I love you too." He went to the door and grabbed his bags. He said, "I'll try to call you every night. If I don't it's because I'm busy." She said, "Okay."

He opened the door, and she ran to him and grabbed his leg. She said, "No don't go! I can't stay here by myself!" He said, "Baby let me go!" She shook her head no and said, "I'm gone be lonely." He said, "Baby I'll call Diamond while I'm in the car to see if you can stay with her until I come back! But you have to let go of my leg so I won't miss my flight."

Imani sighed and let go of him. "Bye baby. I'll call you when I land, he said. "Okay," she said, while looking down.
