The sun goes down slowly, fading into a beautiful sunset that fills the vast sky. They head far from the city towards the sparkling ocean. Ethan drives with one hand on the steering wheel and the other intertwined with Grayson's.

Grayson looks out the window as his hair blows in the wind. Ethan smiles seeing his eyes admiring the sky. He brings his lips down to their hands and kisses the back of Grayson's palm. Grayson looks over at him with a smile and reaches over to kiss his cheek.

Once they arrive at their destination the sun is gone along with the sunset. The wind blows around them as waves crash against the shore. They're at the beach, a familiar place Ethan would come to all the time, he never brought anyone before.

The beach is empty and quiet. The only noise comes from the push and pull of oncoming waves and wood cracking from a small bonfire. It would be completely dark without the full moon and stars twinkling from the sky. They set down a blanket on the sand before laying on top of it and looking up at the night sky.

"Thanks for bringing me here, it's beautiful." Grayson says sitting up and ogling at the scenery. He looks at the dark rippling waves and shadows of mountains and cliffs in the far distance.

Ethan glances over at him, admiring his beauty instead. He smiles as he grabs his hand intwining their fingers together.

"I can think of something more beautiful." He says making Grayson look at him with narrowing eyes and blushing cheeks.

"Your so cheesy sometimes." Grayson laughs rolling his eyes. Ethan kisses his cheek before sitting up and looking at the waves drifting towards them then disappearing back into the ocean.

"I used to come here all the time last year." He says staring out into the darkening night.

"When things became too much to handle, when I lost my friends and all that shit." He explains shaking his head.

"I felt so lost out there in the world. I would come here alone, and look out into the ocean." He says softly staring off into the horizon.

"Coming here, I felt at peace. I felt like I could do anything or go anywhere. I felt like I had a purpose."

"I could just go with those waves and swim and swim, flow with the sea and drift away." He smiles.

Grayson stares into the ocean with him, he can understand why this place calms Ethan. He used to go off into the woods back home, when things became too complicated. He misses the crisp winter air and slightly muddy green forest he'd walk through.

"I didn't know the purpose of life or the point honestly... until I met you." Ethan says gripping Grayson's hand tighter.

Grayson looks over at him and smiles before laying his head on his shoulder as Ethan wraps an arm around him.

"Thanks for bringing me here." Grayson smiles while nuzzling more into Ethan as he leaves kisses on his cheek and neck.

"You already said tha-" Ethan points out before being silenced by Grayson's lips.

"Are you trying to show me your gratefulness or something?" He laughs as Grayson climbs on top of him.

"Maybe." Grayson says against his lips while Ethan lays back pulling him down to deepen the kiss. Grayson hums contently as the waves sound in the distance.
