Colby's POV

I walked downstairs and was confronted by Jake who simply sighed and shook his head at me.

"You just couldn't help yourself could you?" I sighed and sat next to him

"No I really couldn't. He did need help though, his father was trying to beat the shit out of him"

"Your gonna lose if you keep this up"

"Yea well maybe I'm okay with losing" I smiled slightly as I looked at my hands. Jake chuckled and went back to playing COD.

"I called it. I knew this was going to happen. I can't wait to see how THIS unfolds" I punched him in the arm playfully and laughed.

"Oh shut up Jake." He smirked and then got shot in COD and died.

"Damn it! Well this is my que to bounce. I will see you tomorrow bro and we can talk about this further" we hugged and he left, then I walked upstairs to go check on Sam. After knocking and opening the door I saw that he was asleep on the bean bag. He was so small and cute curled up into a tiny ball and I awwwwed quietly. I carefully walked over to him and picked him up, then I walked over to my bed and gently placed him there and pulled the covers over him. I blushed as I looked at him and realized how much I actually cared for him and I rubbed the back of my neck. I went to the bathroom and changed then carefully crawled into bed next to him with a sigh. Oh god things just got a lot more complicated.

The next morning I woke up but not to my alarm, instead I woke up to a small whimpering. I opened my eyes realizing it was Saturday and saw Sam curled in a ball shaking in his sleep. He had to of been having a nasty nightmare to be like that. I gently wrapped my arms around him, my bare chest pressed against his back as I held him close to me hoping my warmth would soothe the nightmare and make him peaceful. To my surprise he turned and buried his face into my chest as he clung to me. I could tell he was still asleep and he mumbled.

"Colby y-you saved me...th-thank you." I smiled and rubbed his back as I just barely whispered

"Your welcome Sammy." I ended up falling asleep again and woke up two hours later, though I still had my eyes closed. I could feel that Sam was stiff in my arms so I guessed that he had woken up. I let a small smile creep across my face as I curled closer to him resting my face in his hair. I heard him sigh and felt relax as I held back a laugh and just focused on the fact that I was holding an innocent, beautiful, small boy in my arms. Sam rested his hands and head on my chest and I listened to his breathing steady as he fell back asleep. After half an hour of holding the sleeping boy, I sighed and slowly pulled away from him and laid on my back as I looked at the ceiling. He would probably think he dreamt being in my arms, but that was okay. Jake wasn't coming over until 1:30ish, which gave me time to hang out with Sam a bit and contemplate the whirlwind of emotions that roared through my body. Sam was truly handsome, and sweet, and small and innocent and cute and caring and shy and bashful and just overall adorable, but I was a bad boy that wasn't supposed to like guys, or anyone for that matter. I was supposed to be dark and cold and hate everything so that I didn't hurt anyone but Sam was different. I couldn't be cold around him, I couldn't block him out or hate him. He made being a bad boy so much harder than it used to be when I could just such everyone out.

"C-Colby?" Sam mumbled as he woke up, cutting off my thoughts. I turned and looked at him with a smile.

"Good morning sleepy head." He sat up and rubbed his eyes looking confused.

"I had an...interesting dream last night"

"Oh? What was it about?" He turned red and looked at the bed.
