Chapter 25

Colby's POV

Sam and I slept in the next morning and when we woke up there was a note on the door that said Elton and Corey had gone to get breakfast. I looked over at sam and smiled gently running my hand along his side and inner thigh, while he was in a happy, sleepy haze. As I ran my fingers along his inner thigh;however, I noticed something felt off. To be discreet about what I was doing I gently brushed the covers off of him to pull him closer to me and he lifted his leg sleepily, wrapping it around my waist, exposing the scars. I looked at all of them, counting each of them as I ran my finger over them slowly. There were over 30 scars along his inner thigh and I had a feeling he had a decent amount on the other one too. He slowly opened his eyes and looked at me with bright eyes as he smiled.

"Good morning baby" he mumbled as he nuzzled into the aide of my neck and I half smiled.

"Hey baby. Is there something you need to tell me?" I asked softly as I looked at him. He tilted his head to the side looking at me confused.

"No....not that I can think of" he said softly and I sighed, gently running my hand along his inner thigh. He stiffened and looked at me with slightly wide eyes and I looked back at him

"Are you sure there's nothing you want to tell me?" He looked at his hands and mumbled.

"How long have you known?"

"I found out this morning. Why didn't you tell me Sammy?" I asked softly as I gently caressed his cheek.

"I-I couldn't put that on you.  I-" he wouldn't look at me as he was playing with his fingers.

"Why?"

"Because you left, I-I changed when you left, I felt broken and this was what happened." He mumbled and I pulled him up against my chest.

"God I'm so so sorry. I know what going through that is like...and you didn't deserve that at all."I whispered as I buried my face in his hair as I sighed. This was my fault, he cut himself because of me but he hid them well. I wish he would have told me instead of keep it from me, I know why he did it I just wish he would have told me sooner so I didn't have to find them on my own. He nuzzled into the crook of my neck and I could feel his soft lips brushing against one of the marks he left as he smiled.

"It's over now and you've more than made up for it. I have you and that's what matters." He mumbled and I sighed holding him in my arms as I gently ran my fingers through his hair with a sigh. He was okay, he was strong, he was mine and the whole world knew it now. I rested my head on his shoulder and both of us were almost asleep again when there was a banging and Sam almost shot out of bed, but I was holding onto him tightly I looked over to see Elton banging a pan as I groaned.

"Good morning sleepy heads" he said with a smirk as he laughed and sam groaned curling up closer to me. "It's time to get out of bed"

"No I think it's time we still sleep" I grumbled as I pulled the covers over sam and I and instantly buried my face in his shoulder again.  Elton must have not agreed with my decision because he tugged off the blanket and Sam whined pulling himself closer to me. I looked up at Elton with sleepy eyes as I hissed playfully. He laughed as he filmed the two of us, he must have been filming since he was waking us up.

"Is this why you like koalas so much Colby? Because you and Sam act like them?"

"I'm pretty sure Sams the only one that acts like a koala, that's why Colby sleeps longer because he has protective mama instincts" I heard Corey tease sleepily. He must have actually had time to wake up instead of being startled awake.  I rolled my eyes and held sam in my arms as he gently nuzzled the side of my neck. After a few seconds sam was whining and I glanced up to see Elton poking him.

"Sam. Sam. Sam. Sam. Sam. Sam" he was laughing and sam only clung to me more so I flipped him around so that my back was to Elton as Sam sighed. Elton must have tried to poke me again because I heard sam swat something away and Elton laughed.

"We want to sleep."

"Well then we will just leave you here and Corey and I can go to the water park without you two" I felt sam pick his head up and I laughed lightly.

"Water park?"

"Yea I found a really cool water park we could go to but if you two want to stay here and sleep...."

"Well there goes my chance of sleeping in" I mumbled causing Elton to laugh and sam looked at me with soft eyes.

"I'm sorry it's just.." I cut him off by kissing him softly as I smiled.

"I'm teasing you don't worry" I said running my fingers through his hair. He sighed and curled back into my arms.

"Five minutes" was all Sam Saunders before resting his head on my shoulder and Elton laughed.

"This video will continue after these short messages." Then he turned the camera off and I sighed happily as we were slowly starting to actually wake up.

"Was that really the necessary way to wake us up?" Sam asked as he looked at Elton.

"Yes yes it was. Now you have five minutes to get out of bed so we can go or we really will leave you" I laughed and looked at sam gently running my fingers along his back. I assumed today would be fun and relaxing, and I could have never predicted the unexpected turn that day actually took.
