As you kids know, I kissed Nicole. And I didn’t have time to figure out if she kissed back or not because some dumb butt just had to barge in.

“CALUM!?” I turned around and standing there was your Uncle Luke. “What the frick do you think you’re doing?” Now kids, if you ever find yourself in this situation don’t do what I did, you will get punched in the face. I assure you that.

“Kissing the girl I love.” Yup, I said that and your uncle Luke punched me, in the same spot that your Aunt Nicole did. Speaking of your Aunt Nicole, she was staring at me as if she couldn’t believe what I had just said.

“You love me?”

“I love you.” Another tip. Don’t repeat what you said. I assure you that you will get punched. Again. And maybe a third time but you’d be lucky if there is someone else with you because that person may stop your puncher from punching you again.

“Luke stop it.” As you know, your Uncle Luke and Nicole dated and their relationship was the sweetest thing anyone had witnessed. Until she left him to go to Canada. “Please?” At that moment I witnessed something that I haven’t seen in a while. The look that your Uncle Luke would give Nicole that would make anyone realize just how much this dumb butt cared about her. 

And I knew that he still cared for her because he gave her that look again. She is the only person to ever be able to soften Luke up. It’s like magic. I could tell he wanted to punch me again but thanks to your Aunt Nicole placing her hand on his shoulder, he didn’t punch me again. 

“Thanks Nicole.” Remember, be polite.

“I *bleep* hate you Calum! How *bleep* dare you?! You mother *bleep* , *bleep*! I thought you were my *bleep* friend! What the *bleep* happened to you?!” Don’t be like your Uncle Luke. Reminding you, I’m still on the floor after he punched me. And even though he was slightly calmed down by Nicole, he still stormed out.

“He’ll calm down soon. Just give him time.”

“What’s he so pissed about?”

“I don’t know but I will find out.” And then that was when I realized she didn’t notice ‘the look’ and that only meant one thing: she has moved on completely. Then another thought popped in my head. Remembering how much this girl broke Lucas, I wondered why he invited her back.

 “Why did Luke bring you back?”

 “I don’t know. All he said is that he had some song to show me and he really wanted me to hear it.” Oh my god.

 “Amnesia.” I blurted out.

 “What?”

 Make sure you try to keep your thoughts to yourself and try to never say them out loud. “Nothing.”

 “You said Amnesia. What about Amnesia?" 

Make sure you shut up when you’re meant to shut up and talk when you’re meant to talk. Don’t talk when you’re meant to shut up. I made that mistake. “That’s the name of the song he wrote.”

“What?” 

“Luke wrote a song after your break up and it’s called Amnesia.” “Do you have it?”

Remember, you need to learn to lie. That time, I didn’t know how to. “Yes.” Also, try to not say things that will most likely get you into more trouble in the future. “Would you like to hear it?”

 “O-of course.” So then I did. I played the recording I had of AMNESIA. By the end of it, I regretted playing it.
