"Abigail, did you hear that?"

My words were quiet, tainted with fear. Abigail looked to me with wide eyes and nodded.
"The guards?" she whispered.

"Yes."

We all scrambled, I ran to a nearby wall that we didn't see, hidden out of sight holding some guns.

Taking out a shotgun, I tested it. The shotgun fired, pushing me backwards with the recoil.

I looked around, surprised to see that Mason kept his gun, Abigail had grabbed a rifle from a nearby box nailed on the wall, and Sophia was holding a throwing knife with a rifle equipped with a scope.

As people caught onto the melee, we all followed Sophia's lead, grabbing melees of all kinds.

I turned to a crate, pulling out a knife. Perfect.

Turning my head around, I looked at my comrades, and then we all grouped.

"So, four on different sides, two each. One in the front, with walls to hide behind, so we can surprise them." Abigail suggested a battle plan whilst pointing at the walls.

"I'll take front," I told them. No one objected. It seemed like everyone wanted to be with a partner, not alone.

We all reported to our stations, getting ready.

I walked to a corner and looked at everyone.

Smiling, I gave everyone a thumbs-up, even though no one would be able to see it in the dark, then I put my back to the wall, and waited. Then it happened. The creaks and footsteps as the guards stood on the floor, probably looking for us.

Click. Click. Click, click. Noises filled the air, which abruptly stopped as I cast a glance at the source of the sounds.

The guards stood there, holding and aiming their guns of all different kinds.

"Oh, hello. Nice to see you again."

With that, I pulled up my shotgun, then pulled the trigger.
