March 30
6:45am"Beatrice! Wake up!" My mother says, pounding in my door. I groan, getting out of my bed, and towards my dresser.
I take a glance at the mirror, and see something that wasn't there before.
A black substance, crawling from my jaw, up it, and back to my ear. "What is this?" I say quietly, to myself. Tris touches the mark in her chin, still not knowing what it was, but then it clicked.
"My mark!" She whisper yells. But her tired eyes sadden, and she frowns. "I'm already made fun of enough, my mark is SO VISIBLE!" She laces back and fourth in her room. No makeup can cover her mark.
And she has no clue who her soulmate is, or how he will touch her. "Am I going to be punched?" She whispers to herself, and throwing her hair into a messy bun. She grabs a pair of grey joggers and a black crop top and throws them on.
Her blue eyes sparkle in the mirror, and she tries to smile. She walks out of her room, six balloons are on the floor, and four more floating.
"Happy birthday Beatrice!" My mom, dad, and brother say at the same time. I grin widely, and kick a balloon up into my hands. I smack it at my brother and it knocks of his glasses. "Beatrice!" My mother scolds.
"Sorry?" I say as a question, and grin evilly, running down the stairs, and grabbing a granola bar. I open the bar, and throw the wrapper away.
I look at the time, which is 7:35. "Geez mom how long was I in there?" She shrugs and I rush out the door, to see a new car out there. "HOLY COW IS THIS MINE?" I scream, and start running back into the house.
"Yes Beatrice, it is." My father says in a moody tone. I smile and hug him and mom. I stay like this for a while, before grabbing the keys and leaving.
I'm a bit of a nerd, but I'm also one of the best athletes at this school. I play softball, volleyball, and golf. Yes golf, my father played it, and there is a high chance of getting a scholarship. But the thing is, you can't be broken to get one.
You need to be happy all the time, and not bipolar. That's what I am, bipolar. Today, is a really good day...so far. But, I have bad days, and lately, they have been more often then normal, which isn't looking good.
It never ends well when I'm like this. Last time, I ended up being in the hospital for three weeks. I was so bored. Barely any company, except for maybe Four and Christina. But they can only come during visiting hours.
I take off in my new black Jeep, and head towards school. "How did my parents afford this?" I say to myself, admiring the car, and smiling. I breath in the new car smell, and but my lip. How long will the good last?
As I pull up to the school, I see Christina, Will, and Four talking. I hop out of the car and their jaws drop. I close the door and turn around.
"Surprise?"
