I sighed in contentment, falling on to the soft mattress. A soft, warm breeze ruffled the tangled sheets as I closed my eyes. A hand brushed against my cheek, and I smiled, snuggling closer.

"Maybe we'll put clothes on today," Dylan mumbled in my ear and I snorted.

"As if you'd let me."

Dylan tickled my side and I laughed, jumping from bed. I took the sheets with me, wrapping myself up as I walked out of the shelter and into the sunlight.

"This was the best idea you've had in a while, D," I said as I felt a kiss placed on my naked shoulder.

Dylan rested his chin on my shoulder as we stared at the sea. The island had no people on it—Ace owned it and Dylan set it up for us to be alone.

Our screaming would have scared any inhabitants.

"We've been going no-stop since the Princes," Dylan said and I remained silent, still having some regrets.

They wouldn't ever go away, but I was learning to accept the past. There wasn't anything I could do to change it now.

I dropped the towel and with a teasing smile over my shoulder, I rushed towards the ocean. Dylan was hot in pursuit and tackled me once we reached the water. We splashed and played until we got too tired to do much of anything but lay where the water just lapped around our bodies.

"So..." I looked over to Dylan who covered his eyes with a groan. "I have rules 2-50 memorized. What's the infamous rule number one?"

"I saw the list; you aren't memorizing shit."

I scoffed, but I knew he was right. I had been keeping a detailed list so that I could refer to it. I was only missing the first rule.

"Does it really matter, love?" Dylan tucked me into his side and I looked up at him, batting my eyelashes and pouting. Dylan pouted back, but eventually relented, "I can't say no to you."

"I know," I said cheerily. "So, tell me."

"Rule number one, is never date an Ace," Dylan said, a quirked smile on his face.

"But we're dating?"

"Technically," Dylan removed his eyes from mine to look around, "we aren't supposed to be."

"But my parents?"

Dylan shrugged, "And we know how they turned out." I winced and Dylan immediately apologized, "I'm a douchebag."

"But you're a truthful douchebag," I poked his side with a smile to let him know it was alright. I paused, and hesitantly asked, "Do...do you think we'll turn out like that?"

"I hope not. I'd like to think we would take care of our child," Dylan grimaced and I nodded in thought. We were silent for a few minutes when I heard Dylan's phone ring from the hut. We looked at each other confused, before standing and heading back. I laid on the bed, tapping my foot as Dylan put his phone on speaker.

"Levi, I told you we were on vacation," Dylan growled into the phone.

"We've been trying to reach you for hours," Levi's panicked voice came across the phone. "You have to get out of there."

"Why?" I piped up.

"Just get your asses out of there!" Alex screamed on the other end. Dylan and I exchanged hurried glances, running outside. A white cloud line had appeared in the sky and we could see an object hurtling towards us.

"Run!" Dylan yelled, and we took off down the beach. Seconds later, the shack we had been staying it exploded, sending Dylan and I flying. I landed hard on the sand, my skin immediately turning bright red at the impact. I frantically looked around to see Dylan a few feet away—dazed but alright.

"What the actual fuck was that?" Dylan had picked up his phone.

"Long-range missile," Levi explained, breathless. "Are you two okay?"

"Other than being naked, yeah," I answered for us. "I guess our vacation's over, huh?"

Dylan looked at me, smirking. "How long will it take you to get here, you guys?"

"Four hours," Boone said.

"Plenty of time," Dylan grinned. We could hear the groans of distaste on the other end before Dylan hung up.

I chuckled, stalking towards him as his breathing increased, "Oh, yes, plenty of time."
