Artemis POV
She stepped out of the zeta tube to the bright sunlight of Coast City. For some reason the League of Assassins had decided to put their American base of operation here. In the city that was home to Hal Jordan, the Green Lantern. The League was most likely thinking that since the Green Lanterns was supposed to deal with alien encounters; one of their cities would be the best possible place to set up base. Of course, the Justice League was suspicious of a new company appearing unexpectedly. So they sent Captain Marvel to check it out, leading to his pervious capture, and escape.
Artemis quickly made her way to the E.A building to give her report on the previous meeting with the Justice League. And after weaving her way through the countless halls and doorways of the building she found herself standing in front of a door that lead into her squads main room.
"You idiots!" she exclaimed as she stormed her way into the room.
"I am guessing that by the way you have a death stare one your face and a dagger in your hand that the meeting with the Justice League went well," Diane said with a smirk from her place at the table.
Ignoring her daughter's sassy comment Artemis walked right up to where Junior and Eagle was sitting.
"You idiots" she repeated in a deadly whisper "Completely let it slip to Captain Marvel that there was three traitors in the League"
"So" Ash said, "it's not like they are smart enough to suspect that it is you"
Jade gave her a look to tell her to be quite which is what Ash did.
"Don't worry Artemis" came a voice. It was Sportsmaster.
"Richard had just told me that tomorrow Batman is going to send Kid Flash, Red Arrow and Red Eagle on a covert mission to Santa Prisca, to see if that is still an active base. It is a perfect time to strike."
*-*-*-*-*
Artemis made her way back to zeta tubes wanting to just go home and sleep. But, of course the universe had a different idea.
Recognized Kid Flash B03
"Hey Artemis," Wally said as he stepped out the zeta tubes. "Coast City, Hmmm, Nice place to visit."
"I didn't come here for the view" she said, "Diane is staying here with Jade who moved here a couple of years ago. I was just checking in to see how they were going."
"Your protégé a hero is staying with your sister a villain?" he asked confused.
"Well, not exactly," she said, "my protégé a hero is staying with my sister an ex-villain. After the birth of her second daughter Jade decided to leave villain life and has been in touch with me ever since." This was partly the truth. Diane was staying with Jade whenever they weren't in E.A but of course Jade will never give up her life of crime.
"That makes sense. By the way, where is Kaldur, M'gann or Connor?" he asked obviously eager to see his friends.
This was a question she didn't have to lie about. "Kaldur is down in Poseidonis but has been told of your-"she struggled to find the right word. "-arrival. M'gann and Connor are currently off world on a deep undercover mission"
"Cool" he said.
"Come on let go back to my place and talk. You have a lot to catch up on."
With that, she entered the zeta tube and with a small look behind her shoulder, she noticed Wally following her.
