Noelle's POV:

I woke up the next day feeling refreshed from sleeping in the cloud of a bed that the hotel provided for me.

I glanced over at the clock that sat on the bedside table to see that is was only 7:30. That means that they were serving breakfast downstairs. So most of the people in the hotel are still sleeping.
climbed out of the bed, well more like rolled out of the bed. What can I say? I'm too lazy to climb out of the bed that is this fluffy. I went over to my suitcase to get my clothes out for the day before going to get a shower.

Now they impressed me with their rooms, but the shower blew me away! It was door less, with a drain in the middle with three different shower heads. Each of the shower heads turned a different color. I also found a Bluetooth shower speaker attached to the wall. And you all should know what I did next. I hooked up my phone to the speaker, and blasted my tunes. That went on for about an hour before I shriveled up like a raisin.

So I got out, disconnected my phone, and got dressed to head down stairs to breakfast. I got into the elevator and to the lobby with no problems thank goodness. When I get to the breakfast area, there is so much food! There are at least four rows of different containers of food. My mouth started watering at the different aromas that were floating around the room. I can smell cinnamon, bacon, apple, and something that I live for... COFFEE!

I, like many other photographers and writers, am addicted to this caffeinated beverage. I followed my nose to the wonderful smell to the coffee maker where there is also a waffle maker. Waffles for breakfast does sound good right now.

I fill a tall coffee cup with my beloved beverage adding in French vanilla and caramel creamer. I also tossed in some sugar before stirring it all together, and taking a sip.

The coffee flowed over my tongue making me hum in satisfaction. It legit taste like a cremello candy. Anyways, I placed my coffee on the counter in front of me as I began to fill up a plate.I grabbed some cinnamon rolls, french toast, cantaloupe, and yogurt with granola.

I know it seems like a lot, but the portions were small so I got a little of everything so I could get more later. I will most likely be full by two plates. Simply because there is so much food and if you get a little bit of everything then you will fill up quickly.

As I set down my plate and coffee on a little table situated near a window near the street. It was so much more busy now than it was last night. All the people of New York had to get up early to go to their steady jobs, and other things of their busy lives. And here I am sitting in the cafe of the hotel eating breakfast when I should be working.

After I finished the delicious breakfast that the hotel offered, I walk up to the elevator. As I am standing there waiting on the elevator, my phone starts ringing.

'I wonder who is calling me at this time in the morning.' I mused as I pulled my phone from my back pocket.

"Hello?" I answered the phone not even bothering to check the caller ID.

"WHERE IS MY UPDATE!" a voice screamed through the phone.

"Ms. Townsen, I am so sorry! I am currently chasing down a lead, and I haven't gotten the chance to email you." I gushed as I climb into the elevator. I click the button to my floor, wishing for the elevator to move faster. I needed to get to my computer as fast as possible. I needed to get an email up, but the bad thing is that I don't have anything to tell her.

"Well, WORK FASTER! When I put you on this assignment I expected results!" Ms. Townsen continued to yell at me as I booted up my computer. I looked out the window of my room as my computer booted up.

It was now raining, and the sky had turned slightly darker. If it hadn't already felt gloomy from my editor yelling at me, it did now.

Soon my computer was opened to my emails. It showed several emails from Ms. Townsen, and now I know I am in deep.

"I am expecting some pictures and an article soon!" Ms. Townsen demanded as she hung up. Sometimes I can't deal with people like her, but I want that promotion.

As soon as I heard the dial tone I began to search through my contacts for my sources.

I found one of my best contacts and gave them a call to see if they had any information on the prince.

"Yo Noelle! What's up my homie?" a voice says as they answer the phone.

"Hey Felix, do you have any information for me?" I was silently pleading that he did.

You see Felix is an associate of mine. If I ever need information about a certain person, he is always the first person that I contact simply because he has the best connections that anyone could ever have. He is also connected to Ms. Townsen so he almost always knows about my new assignments.

"Sorry Noe, but I haven't seen or heard anything about the prince. If I hear something you'll be the first person that I call!" Then Felix proceeded to hang up on me.

I pulled my phone away from my face, shocked that he would hang up on me without so much as an adios or goodbye.

I sigh and get up from the bed. I need to pack my things, but before I leave the hotel I want to look around the city to see what it has to offer a smaller city girl like me. So I gather my phone, portable charger, and purse before leaving my hotel room. I made my way to the front of the hotel, waving to the desk attendant as I left.

I forgot that it was raining outside, so once I walked outside I am drenched from head to toe. I am so glad that my phone has a waterproof case on it and I scotch guarded my purse and shoes. I continued on down the sidewalk till I get to the end. I have three options. I could go straight to the other side while crossing the street. I could turn to the left and cross the street that way. I could also turn right and continue around the corner to see what was there.

I decide to cross the street straight ahead of me. It is a four way stop, so that means that I will have to press the walk button. that allows you to stop the red light of the street that you are crossing so you will not get run over.

I press the button waiting for the light to turn when I get another call.

"Hello?" I answer as I impatiently tap my foot waiting for the light to change.

"I told you I would call you as soon as I had any information." Felix said, I could tell from his voice that he was smirking. I rolled my eyes as I watch the light.

"What you got, Felix?" I asked, as the sign across from me changes and has the walking person on it in white.

"Well, according to my sources, your prince is staying in the heart of New York City. Though I'm not sure where exactly he is staying. So this isn't much more than what Ms. Townsen told you, is it?" he asked. I shook my head, then I realized that he couldn't see me.

"No, it's not thanks anyways, Felix." I replied as I crossed the street. I didn't hear a voice call out for me to move until it was too late. All I could see was a car coming at me. The last thing that I heard was the sound of squealing tires before everything went quiet.
