Unfortunately Hibari could not read minds and his reading of expressions seemed to be just a tad off as well. The supposedly crying and violated expression that Kouka wore was blaring alarm bells throughout his being. Did she not like it? Shit, he shouldn't have gone with the heat of the moment! He didn't mean to make her cry or feel uncomfortable! With this his smirk was wiped from his face as realisation settled in.

On the other hand, Kouka was not crying tears of anger or sadness, nor did she feel violated and scared, quite the contrary. They were tears of happiness, but with the shock instilled in her eyes and the pure disbelief marred on her face - in the form of trying to speak but only managing to move her mouth without sound - it was hard to see any kind of joy behind her mixed mess of emotion.

Therefore Hibari, upon his realisation, pushed her away and made a swift escape. Like a true man with red ears. He was annoyed at himself for doing such a thing so stupidly. So much for good instincts when he couldn't even read the mood, since when was kissing someone so abruptly a good idea? He wasn't Italian!

A black cloud floated over him as he skulked back into the comfort of his reception room. Doesn't this mean that he won't be seeing her, let alone speaking with her, for at least a week? Never had he ever before regretted something more than he did kissing her then; not that he'd deny liking it or being 100% okay with doing it again... was that really regret then? Kusakabe was stood awkwardly behind him trying to feed some sense into the head prefect.

Kouka was like a statue, not moving even when the door slammed shut. What. What? Did she just seriously...
Her mind was working in overdrive, it was a little much to handle. For one that was her first kiss, second - that was Hibari wasn't it? She's not dreaming? Perhaps this was a lucid dream... It's a pretty long one but she won't deny enjoying it. Except the notion of it being a dream, she wants it to be real!

The tug of pain on her wrist reassured her that it was in fact real. She squealed in a mixture of panic and confusion. Needless to say she didn't make it to class.

"Chairman, you must understand that she is a timid person. I'm sure that she doesn't dislike you or feel upset about anything you've done." Kusakabe tried reasoning despite no knowing what happened exactly. "Did she accept your White Day gift?"

He took silence as a yes, also seeing as the present wasn't anywhere in sight.

"Then surely she reciprocates, unless she accepted it as platonic." Which I highly doubt - Went unsaid. He felt a weight lift off his shoulders upon seeing the chairman's mood turn less sour. He was thinking about it.

"She looked like she was crying." He mumbled, leaning out of the window and watching the front grounds of Namimori.

Kusakabe could think of a few reasons as to why she was crying, all positive.

"She may have been a little teary from happiness or even surprise. She might not have expected you to celebrate White day." He explained with a smile, "I'm sure you've misunderstood her timidness for sadness chairman. I'm certain she's ecstatic to have received your chocolates."

Hibari scowled as he thought back. Kusakabe did have a point, she was overjoyed; and come to think of it she was teary eyed even then. Tears of happiness? He's only ever seen tears of fear and distress. Then that meant she was happy even after...?

And to think he ran away! Oh how annoyed he was at himself. No, annoyed doesn't even begin to describe how infuriated he was. Only the weak ran from anything and he was far from weak. Scoffing, he turned and started for the door. Giving up? Such a phrase didn't exist in his mind. Letting her go? No way, she was his and his only.
