Let's get the party started.

It's Been already a year that Ashley had to deal with her mother gone. It's Logan's birthday and he invited Ashley to go over to his party. Ashley is still at Bri's place and is saving up money to buy her own car and house. Ashley and Bri hear a knock on their bedroom door. Bri stretches and yawns. "Don't worry room mate I got you." She gets up and opens the door. Ashley puts her fluffy slippers on and follows behind Bri and crosses her arms. Bri looks up and says, "Oh, sup Logan. Wait. How did you get passed the front door?" Logan looks back and Bri follows his eyes to the direction he was looking at and Bri sees her parents on the couch talking. "Oh." She crosses her arms. "Well that explains it."

Bri says looking behind her and Ashley comes back. "Yeah?" She looks up "Oh hey Logan! So nice to see yo-" Logan interrupts her by handing her an invitation. "Ooh. What's this for? Ashley opens the envelope and sees the invitation inside. "Welcome to my party." She reads out loud for both Bri and Logan to hear. She looks up at him. "It's an invitation to my party. If you want to come." Wow and you forgot about me? That's so like you Logan. You big L." She puts finger and her thumb as a shape of an L on her forehead. "Whatever. You know what? Here you go. You happy? Is that better?" She giggles and brushes his hair back. "Yes, that's a lot better and yes I am very happy you invited me to your party." Bri says waving the invitation to Logan's face. "Oh, also it's at my father's mansion so bring y'all bathing suits cause there is going to be a big pool." Ashley smiles at him. "Oh that's so cool! Yeah, you know I uh, do need to cheer up and have some fun." Logan hugs her and kisses her forehead. "I know you do. See y'all later. Logan leaves. Bri looks at Ashley, smiles, elbows her, then raises her eyebrows as soon as Ashley looks back at her. "He wants to see you in a bathing suit. You should wear your bikini you wore for our last day of summer vaca cause Logan will think your hot. Ow!" Ashy elbows her back hard. "You need to relax it's just a party. Plus he already has seen me in a bathing suit. I brought it for our date since we had a date there and...My mom passed away." Ashley rubs her arms and glances at the ground. "It's ok Ash. I will make sure this party is the best thing that ever happened to you. Besides I'll go ahead and text Logan if we can both bring one person. You bring Lily and I'll being Saniya if he agrees. Ok?" Bri texts Logan on her phone and shows Ashley the phone 'cause Logan responded back with a "Yes ma'am." Ashley gives Bri a fake smile but then sheds a tear. Bri sighs and shrugs. "I was just saying that so you would smile and blush but eh I guess I got a reaction close to that."

Ashley giggles a little bit. "Come on Ashley you have t-" Ashley hugs Bri. "I miss her Bri. Her smiles, her sweet innocent voice used to sing to me as a child, the one who kept me alive for eighteen years, the only one I had left to love." Bri is speechless. She looks at her parents and thinks on how hard it must be losing both of them. "Aw, Ash. Look." She lifts Ashley's chin up to get her attention and Ashley looks up. "Yes Bri?" She says losing her breath. "If your mother were here she would have been proud of you." Ashley wipes her tears. "Thanks Bri. That's all I needed to hear to feel better." Bri gets her keys and shows Ashley and says, "Well? Coming to the party? 'cause we need to go shopping!" Bri and Ashley rush to the door and Bri's mother stops them.

"Woah, woah where you girls going?" Bri stops and goes back. "We are going to a party. Well one of my friend's friend's party, but first we need to go shopping for our dresses cause we don'-" Bri's mother signals her to come closer. "You forgetting something Bri?" Then she points at her father. "Oh, uh right sorry mother sorry father." Bri goes to her dad hugs him and kisses him on the cheek and then goes to her mother and does the same thing. "Bye guys!" She begins to rush out the door again Bri was so fast, she opened the passenger's door then the driver's and once she got in, closed, and turned the key, Ashley just closed the door. "Ok, so what radio station does Ashley want to hear? Actually let me guess. What kind of music do ya listen to?" Ashley gets her phone out. "I like hip hop." Bri changes the radio stations to 106.1. "I'm guessing this is the right one huh?" Ashley nods her head and looks at the window for a couple of seconds."
